Many patients will experience anal drop, frequent defecation, and incomplete defecation after PPH surgery, and feel very distressed. Based on my clinical experience, I summarize the specific causes of the above symptoms at various stages and the preventive treatment plan as follows:
Within one week after surgery:
Reason: Anus falls within one week after PPH. Frequent defecation is mostly caused by inflammation and congestion during the local operation. Patients often go to the toilet to defecate whenever they want to defecate. In fact, this will only increase local congestion and form a vicious circle. The above symptoms.
Prevention: When the above-mentioned situation occurs, it is best to pay attention to rest in the first week after the operation, try to control the number of times, once a day is the best, and the time for each bowel movement should be controlled within 5 minutes.
Treatment: Give local anti-inflammatory drugs or rest to relieve.
7-15 days after operation: Reason: The above-mentioned situation occurs about 7-15 days after operation, because of the stimulation of the anastomotic nail removal, there will be frequent defecation and incomplete defecation.
Preventive treatment: smooth bowel movements; when the general symptoms are not relieved for more than 7 days, it is necessary to consider partial removal of the staples, while cooperating with local anti-inflammatory drugs; or the specific reasons need to be further investigated.
30 days after surgery:
Reason: The above-mentioned situation occurs about 30 days after the operation, mostly due to the scar formation of the anastomosis after the operation, and scar stimulation causes the above-mentioned situation, which usually lasts for 3-5 days and can relieve itself.
Preventive treatment: pay attention to rest, and use local anti-inflammatory drugs. There are also patients who have nails removed and need to be removed.
