Some irregular and immature therapies are popular and improper treatments cause multiple sequelae
ED (erectile dysfunction) has become the most "famous" term in various common male diseases. Nowadays, Chinese men generally have high expectations for sexual function, hoping that their genitals are bigger and longer, and their erections last longer. Some medical institutions have spotted this "business opportunity" and have taken the banner of treating ED to attract business. Some non-standard treatment methods and seemingly trendy but immature technical methods have also taken the opportunity to be pushed to patients, many of which are "alternatives". "Services, such as the magical "growth hormone", which costs tens of thousands of yuan per injection, which is known as "grow up when you hit it", perform penis enlargement surgery for normal men, and even launch new tricks similar to "cosmetic plastic surgery" . However, people only see the magical and attractive propaganda, but they don't know that ED treatment has a slight error. Not only can it not recall the "sexual blessing", but it makes people drift away on the painful road.
Case: The "main attack" medicine for ED aggravated the condition but cured the back pain
A patient in Guangzhou had a black humorous experience in his treatment: he went to a certain hospital to treat ED and took a newly developed Chinese herbal medicine. After spending tens of thousands of yuan, he was dumbfounded: I didn't expect that his old problems of backache and back pain had improved a lot, but the main ED symptoms were getting worse day by day.
The patient's experience has at least some "positive and crooked" effects. However, for the more ED patients, even this "deliberately planting flowers but not blooming, unintentionally planting willows and willows" is a luxury. Some people originally imagined the "fake ED" because they were too demanding, but they turned into real ED after treatment. After some ED patients received treatment, not only the condition was like adding fuel to the fire, but it also caused various sequelae such as urethral injury, erectile pain, penile edema, etc., leaving even greater physical and mental pain.
Professor Zhang Bin from the Department of Infertility and Sexual Medicine of the Third Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University told reporters that most of these iatrogenic ED caused by improper treatment are related to irregular treatment methods and immature technical methods. The most common types of sequelae that cause various sequelae are the improper injection of the cavernous body, and the second is that the patient does not meet the indications for the operation but barely gets on the horse, resulting in poor results or accidental injury to the patient during the operation
Sequelae 1: The cavernous body is difficult to soften for a long time after drug injection
Two years ago, Mr. Qiu, who had ED, went to the andrology department of a hospital to receive penile cavernous injection treatment. The doctor told him that he injected a certain vasoactive drug into the cavernous body, which can improve erectile function by dilating arteries.
Indeed, the penis was erect after the treatment, but the erection lasted for five or six hours, and there was some pain. After treatment, Mr. Qiu's penis finally returned to normal, but after that he could not stretch freely, and he could feel some induration under the skin to the touch. Later, he was diagnosed as "cavernous fibrosis."
According to Zhang Bin, most patients with "cavernous fibrosis" caused by injections are due to medical staff's poor operating skills. Cavernous injection is mainly used to diagnose the patient's condition or treat ED. If there are too many injections in a short time, this induration will appear near the needle. Some patients have an erection for four hours after the injection, and even a patient from Guangxi has an erection for two days. The penis is congested for a long time, and the erect penis will compress the veins, causing the blood flow to slow down for more than four hours. , It will make blood stasis, which not only affects oxygen metabolism, but also causes the cavernous sinus to be filled with fibrous congestion, causing the decline of erectile function.
Penile injections are particularly prone to problems, such as subcutaneous hematoma in patients. Once the urethra is missed, it will cause urethral damage and bleeding; if it touches a nerve, it will cause penile pain and leave a psychological shadow on the patient. It will develop due to fear of pain. For psychogenic ED.
Second sequelae: genitals become crooked after circumcision
Long foreskin is a cause of ED. However, if the patient's penile frenulum is accidentally cut off during circumcision, or it is damaged, it will cause dullness and pain during sex. Some patients will get an erection and the frenulum will be stretched, resulting in a bend of the penis.
Recently, a man in Shenzhen underwent a circumcision operation in a local small hospital. As a result, the foreskin was necrotic. After the doctor applied the medicine, the glans also rotted. After the final "repair", the entire penis was only 1/3 of its original length . According to expert analysis, it is likely that the doctor accidentally cut off part of the artery during the foreskin surgery, causing the foreskin to die due to ischemia.
Sequelae 3: Treat premature ejaculation and cause edema
In addition to surgery, contact with medical equipment can also cause penile damage. For example, the most commonly used "negative pressure suction" device to treat premature ejaculation and ED can suck the corpus cavernosum into hyperemia and swell through the contact between the device and the penis, but if the operation is over-fired, the patient's penile edema and pain will be caused.
In addition, the treatment of prostate inflammation, prostate tumor or hyperplasia requires the removal of the prostate located at the base of the urethra. Improper operation will seriously affect erectile function. Surgery to treat hemorrhoids and rectal tumors to remove the lymph nodes will cause similar problems if the nerve connecting the penis is accidentally injured
Sequelae 4: Making "secondary development" erection worse
Some drug advertisements claim to allow men's penis to "regenerate", and some hospitals even introduce "growth hormone" with a dose of tens of thousands of yuan per injection, claiming that "you will grow up when you hit it." In fact, the medical "secondary development" is only relative to patients with small testicular disease. When the patient with this disease reaches adulthood, although the male sexual characteristics such as beard and Adam's apple develop normally, the penis is not mature. Doctors can help the penis continue to develop by supplementing male hormones. And mature healthy men secrete normal sex hormones, supplementing male hormones will also increase the risk of prostate disease. Strictly speaking, penis enlargement surgery cannot really extend the length of the penis. When the penis is weak, the foreskin is layered, so it appears small. Penis enlargement surgery is to cut the suspensory ligament connected to the pubis and put down the foreskin, so that when the penis is weak, the length of the penis can be increased by 5 to 10 cm. It seems to be "longer", but the length of the penis in an erect state is not Will change.
