hemorrhoids treatment otc,TCM treatment of phlegm

The clinical symptoms of phlegm in Chinese medicine can be divided into two categories, one is tangible turbid phlegm, and the other is invisible and invisible phlegm. Traditional Chinese medicine believes that the phlegm is sticky, the condition is lingering and difficult to heal, and its sex is yin. Therefore, its pathogenic characteristics are also long and have a wide range of diseases. It involves viscera, bones, skin and hair, up and down, left and right. Therefore, it is said that "were sick and phlegm."

Phlegm is a disease. Although the symptoms are complicated, it is mostly clinically that the disease first occurs and then the sputum is produced. Therefore, when treating the symptoms, the disease should be differentiated to find the cause. If only the sputum is treated, the cause is not emphasized, and the sputum is treated as the treatment Without discussing the reasons for phlegm, the disease is always difficult to cure. "The True Story of Medicine" pointed out: "The syndrome of phlegm is not detailed in ancient and modern times. Although there are hanging drinks in the prescriptions, there are differences between the drinks, the reserved drinks, the sputum drinks, and the phlegm drinks, but it is impossible to know that it is the source of the disease." Because, since ancient times, there are many diseases that seem to be related to sputum. Such as the treatment of arthralgia pain with phlegm-resolving medicine alone, it is rare that it can be effective. "Jingyue Quanshu" says: "Today, the world is in the world of medicine, but knowing a hundred strategies to attack phlegm is to cure the disease. I don't know why it is phlegm, and why it arises. What is the difference? Almost. The specimens are misidentified, the opinions are distorted, and it is difficult to seek healing from the disease." This is not false.

In fact, most of these strange diseases are visceral dysfunction, abnormal water and fluid metabolism, and their symptoms are marked by sputum. "Miscellaneous Medicine of the Ming Dynasty" pointed out: "The name of the disease is also the name of the phlegm. If one of the people has a good body and blood, what kind of phlegm does the body fluid circulate?" It is not the root of the disease, but the ear tagging of the disease"; "The phlegm of the lady is born from the deficiency of the middle"; "The thieves' prosperity must be caused by the disease of the country's luck, and the work of phlegm must be caused by the disease of the vitality." The phlegm is actually the result of the dysfunction of the viscera, so the treatment is mostly based on the treatment of phlegm, and regulating the function of the viscera is the ultimate cure.

    TCM Treatment of Phlegm Disease

The Synopsis of the Golden Chamber states: "Those who are sick with phlegm should use warm medicine to treat them." This is a great way to treat phlegm-drinking diseases. The understanding of this treatment principle can be said that the benevolent sees benevolence, and the wise sees wisdom. The author also has some superficial understanding of this, and hopes to study and discuss with colleagues.

From the perspective of the formation of phlegm-drinking disease

Qing Zou Shu said: "Drink into the stomach, distribute in the spleen, adjust to the lungs, prevalent in the triple burn, filter in the kidneys, out of the skin, and return to the bladder"; "Water is controlled in the lungs, infused in the spleen, Apply it to the kidneys, and regulate the triple-burner and bladder.” It can be seen that the formation of phlegm-drinking diseases is related to lung, spleen, kidney, bladder and other organs. The internal cause is the weakness of the three internal organs of the lungs, spleen and kidneys, and the loss of qi in the three energies, causing the water to stop gathering; external causes of feeling cold, or wading in the rain, sitting in the wetland for a long time, soaking in cold and dampness, or eating less and drinking more, thinking, overwork . Due to the interaction of internal and external factors, the spleen loses its function, the evil drinking stops gathering, overflows everywhere, spreads to the five internal organs, cannot infuse the upper part to nourish the lungs, cannot help the kidneys to change water, and the triple-burner waterway is ineffective. This is the symptom of deficiency of yang qi and decay of yang qi, and the symptom of the deficiency of the essence of drinking evil to stop gathering. The treatment should be warming yang to cure the root, and drinking to eliminate the symptoms.

From the perspective of pathological characteristics of drinking evil

Drinking evil is yin, and lightly inhibits yang; if severe, it hurts yang, with a clear texture and easy to stay in the human body; the main points of pathogenesis are responsible for the spleen; Drinking is yin evil, when cold is gathering, when yang is acting, and getting warm is turning. At the same time, yin evil is most likely to hurt the yang qi, and if yang qi is injured, it is difficult to drink cold. On the contrary, the Yang Qi is not weak, the Wen Yun is normal, and the drinking is also eliminated. Therefore, the treatment of phlegm and drink requires the help of "warm medicine" to invigorate yang, develop phlegm, and regulate waterways. Yang Qi is invigorating, it can not only warm and drink evil, but also can prevent the source of phlegm and drink. The development of the law and the clearing of water channels are the key to dredging and eliminating evil, so that the energy of drinking evil can be eliminated from the surface.

From the perspective of "warm medicine" itself

"Warm medicine" refers to products that are sweet, bitter, and pungent. The sweet and warm medicine can nourish, harmonize and relieve the yang energy of the spleen and kidney. Aiming at the spleen and kidney yang of the "inherent deficiency", the spleen and kidney do not transform qi to achieve the purpose of warming yang and transforming the drink. Bitter and warm medicines can dry dampness, help yang and reduce dampness, and dry the spleen soil. Aiming at the dampness of the spleen, it can achieve the purpose of drying dampness and transforming drinks. Xin Wen medicine can work and disperse, so as to promote Yang Qi, open up the blood, and channel water. That is, through sweating and diuretic drugs, aiming at "standard realness", they can provide a way out for drinking evil and achieve the purpose of dispersing water and wetness.

To understand from the perspective of using "和之"

"Shuowen Jiezi" says: "Harmony, corresponding also, from the mouth, Hesheng." Take the meaning of peace and harmony. It means that warm medicine should not be used too much, nor is it dry or tonic. That is to say, you should not be too rigid, so as not to hurt the righteousness, and you should not focus on warming up to prevent evil. Instead, you should follow the principle of "harmony". The "Synopsis of the Principles of Prescriptions on the Original Meaning" means "to make a harmony, you can't focus on warming up, that is, there is a product of action and elimination". The person who walks, the qi is also used; the person who eliminates it, the phlegm is also eliminated; the person who opens, the yang is also opened; the person who guides the evil spirits from the urine. In order to achieve the therapeutic purpose of warming and subsidizing yang and shuibian drink.

To understand from the perspective of specific governance

For those with deficiency of spleen and kidney yang, the method of warming yang to drink should be divided into serious ones. For the mild ones, use Alisma Decoction to nourish water and nourish the spleen; for severe ones, use Lingguishugan Decoction to drink warm yang and spleen to invigorate the spleen. Those who drink adversely under the Jiao should be elected as Wuling Powder to dissipate qi and distill water; those who drink the gastric cavity should choose Xiaobanxia Decoction to warm the stomach and loosen the drink; those who drink more evil and suffer from dizziness, choose Xiaobanxia plus Fuling Decoction to guide the descending kidney; For those with deficiency of qi and failure to transform qi, they are elected as Shenqi Pills to warm the kidney and drink, dissipate qi and distill water.

The double solution method of outside and inside for internal drinking and overdrinking of external cold, Xiaoqinglong Decoction was elected to dissolve the surface; for overdrinks of external cold internal drinking and stagnant heat, Daqinglong Decoction was elected for sweating and clearing away heat.

Gastrointestinal dredging method. For those who stop and condense phlegm and drink in a narrow sense, they are elected as Jijiao Lihuang Pills to eliminate before and after, and to overcome difficulties and to drink; for those who drink full stomach, they are elected as Houpu Rhubarb Decoction to dredge the intestines and stomach and remove the real evil.

For those who cannot stop drinking, choose Tingli Dazao Xiefei Decoction to relieve the lungs and drink; those who keep the desire to drink in the narrow sense of phlegm drink are elected Gansui Banxia Decoction to treat the symptoms in an emergency, and guide the situation accordingly; Suspended drinkers can choose Shizao Decoction for those who drink for a long time and who are prosperous and upright.

The method of strengthening the body and dispelling the drink is used to treat stubbornness, deficiency and excess syndrome, the deficiency one is elected Mufangji Decoction to nourish deficiency and clearing heat, and to promote yang and diuresis; the real one is elected Mufangji Decoction to remove gypsum and add Fuling Glauber's salt decoction to dissipate water and tonic Imaginary.

Judging from the selection of prescriptions and medications for these five specific treatments, most of them use "warming medicine" to form a "warming prescription" to eliminate drinking evils. The therapeutic effect is positive and has withstood the test of history.

Phlegm-drinking disease TCM treatment proven prescription

Phlegm-drinking diseases belong to the category of traditional Chinese medicine. It has long been recorded in "The Synopsis of the Golden Chamber", and it is proposed that "sick phlegm drinkers should be treated with warm medicine and harmony". Linggui Shugan Decoction is a prescription for the treatment of drinking syndrome in Zhongjing's "Golden Chamber Synopsis". As long as the pathogenesis is grasped, the syndrome differentiation is appropriate, and the effect is significant.

Patient Fan, male, 52 years old, farmer. The back is cold for more than a month, and the mouth is dry, but less drinking water, prefers hot drinks, slightly bitter mouth in the morning, more phlegm, good diet, small enough, loose stools, pale tongue, big fat, tooth marks, white fur, pulse The string is slippery, touching the upper part of the lower scapula with your hand, and the area about the palm of your hand feels cold. Denies recent history of cold and has no fever. Auscultation revealed clear breath sounds in both lungs, and no dry or wet rales were heard. Because the patient’s mouth is dry, drink less, prefer hot drinks, more phlegm, loose stools, fat tongue with tooth marks, slippery pulse, pulse syndromes, syndrome differentiation is spleen-yang deficiency, phlegm drinking due to upset moisture. The treatment is to invigorate the spleen and replenish qi, warm the yang and dilute water, and use Lingguishugan Decoction to add flavor. Prescription: 20 grams of Poria, 15 grams of Atractylodes macrocephala, 15 grams of Cassia twig, 10 grams of licorice, 10 grams of Pueraria lobata, 5 pieces of ginger. 10 doses, decocted in water, 1 dose a day. Advise him to keep warm from the cold and avoid spicy food.

Note: This patient belongs to "The Twelfth of the Syndromes of the Golden Chamber · Phlegm, Drink, Cough, and Pulse Syndrome", "there is a drink under the heart of the husband, and the person's back is cold like a big hand", it is due to insufficient spleen yang and overflowing water , Caused by staying in my heart. Li Erchen of the Qing Dynasty also mentioned in the "Golden Chamber Synopsis" that "the back is the yang, and the yang in the yang, the heart is also. Therefore, if you drink under the heart, the yin and cold air penetrates the back, while the yang faints, and the back is cold. Such as the hands are big", this "under the heart" refers to the stomach and thoracic diaphragm. The back acupoints are where the body’s viscera and meridian qi and blood are infused. The Xinzhishu acupoint is on the back. Drink carefully while drinking cold drink to inject Qishu. Yang Qi cannot spread and affect the warmth function of the Du Channel, so the back is as cold as hands. The pathogenesis is that drinking obstructs the heart and lowering the Yang Qi, and the Backshu point loses warmth.

"Golden Chamber Synopsis · Phlegm, Drinking and Coughing Diseases and Pulse Syndrome Treatment" Article 16 "There is phlegm in the heart, chest and flanks are full, dizziness, Lingguishugan decoction is the master". The main purpose is to warm the spleen and yang, invigorate qi and promote water, so as to achieve the purpose of eliminating phlegm by drinking and dredging the meridian and eliminating all diseases. The prescription is supplemented with Linggui Shugan Decoction, which embodies the treatment method in Article 15 of "The Twelfth Syndrome of the Golden Chamber · Phlegm Drinking and Coughing Syndrome and Treating Disease Pulse Syndrome". Infiltration of water, transforming the drink to reduce turbidity, is an important medicine for treating drinking diseases; Guizhixin warms the yang, invigorates the yang qi to eliminate the evils of the drink, the two drugs can be used in combination to warm the yang and reduce the dampness; Atractylodes spleen and dampness; licorice and Zhongyi Qi; Pueraria lobata promotes yang, relaxes muscles and veins; ginger warms yang to relieve phlegm. For follow-up visits, Platycodon grandiflorum and Pinellia pinelliae are used to strengthen the phlegm-resolving power, and Platycodon grandiflorum is loaded with medicine to reach the hospital. All medicines work together to warm the yang and invigorate the spleen, and promote energy and water.

    Remove dampness and phlegm

Phlegm-dampness is a yin evil, its sex is heavy and turbid, it is most likely to curb yang, hinder the rise and fall of the Qi machine, cause the malfunction of the organs, and affect the compress of body fluid and the operation of qi and blood. The treatment should be divided into cold and heat deficiency and excess, clear or warm, or tonic or relieve. However, the spleen governs the movement and transformation of water and dampness, and is the source of phlegm. In this "Golden Chamber Synopsis", the principle of "sick phlegm drinkers should be treated with warm medicine and harmony". Poria soup or Erchen soup, etc. When the phlegm dampness and turbid qi disappear, the Qi machine is invigorated, and the meridians are unblocked, the visceral qi function is normal.

Resolving phlegm and lowering the adverse effects of migraine

Prescription: Gastrodia, Poria, Zhuru each 12 grams, Ginger Pinellia, Tangerine peel: Atractylodes, Chuanxiong, Bupleurum, Atractylodes, Magnolia officinalis, Qianghuo each 9 grams.

Usage: Decoction in water for 3 times, 1 dose per day.

Efficacy: Resolve phlegm and reduce adverse effects.

    Migraine Recipe

Prescription: 15 grams of Salvia miltiorrhiza, 12 grams of Vitex sylvestris, 10 grams each of red peony root, white peony root, and Chrysanthemum morifolium, 8 grams each of Bupleurum, Angelica, Atractylodes macrocephala, Poria, Ligusticum chuanxiong, Danpi, Gardenia jasminoides, 4 grams of mint. Decoction is divided into 3 servings. One dose daily.

Try Guadisan if you have phlegm and cough

People with phlegm and damp physique may encounter such a situation: often there is phlegm in the throat, no matter how hard you try to cough up, you can't swallow it even if you want to swallow, and it feels very uncomfortable. This situation is very unfavorable for the discharge of toxins. What should we do at this time? Zhu Danxi, a famous medical scientist in the Yuan Dynasty, recommended a very effective method for everyone in the "Danxi Heart Method"-"Guadi San" .

Guadi San is made by grinding melon base (fried yellow) and red beans into fine powder, and decoction together with light tempeh, which can spit out the phlegm and food stagnation stuck on the diaphragm. The specific method is: 4 grams of melon base, 6 grams of red bean, 5 grams of light tempeh. After the medicine is researched into the end, it is taken twice by decoction. Reminder: If you spit out the sputum after taking it once, do not take it again.

This method is mainly through inducing vomiting, promulgating yang in the chest, and natural evil will calm people. If you are the elderly or people with weak physique, you can use 5 to 10 grams of ginseng reed powder to induce vomiting when you must use emesis. This is a prescription from Wu Shou in Yuan Dynasty called Shenlu San, Zhu Danxi added Zhuli kimono, called Shenluyin. (Xiao Xu)

Master of Traditional Chinese Medicine Li Shimao Treats Modern Difficult and Miscellaneous Diseases from Phlegm and Blood Stasis

•Modern difficult and miscellaneous diseases mostly conform to the characteristics of traditional Chinese medicine that phlegm evil is sticky, lingering and difficult to heal. Li Shimao proposed that the treatment of phlegm should not be limited to the lungs, spleen, and kidneys. Instead, the five internal organs should be considered in a comprehensive manner, and treatment based on syndrome differentiation is more important.

•Modern difficult and complicated diseases are mostly in line with the characteristics of blood stasis in traditional Chinese medicine. Li Shimao praised Zhongjing and Wang Qingren to remove blood stasis in the treatment of blood stasis syndrome.

    • The most common clinically intractable diseases in modern times is the mutual syndrome of phlegm and blood stasis, which is more lingering and difficult to heal than the simple phlegm syndrome or blood stasis syndrome. Therefore, the treatment should be slow, and you should be good at defensive prescriptions, not only attacking evil, but not hurting Righteousness is the king's law.

In recent years, due to the pollution of the natural environment, the change of dietary structure, the acceleration of the pace of life, the change of mentality, the widespread use of modern refrigeration equipment, the improper treatment of modern medicine, the misuse and overuse of health foods and other factors, Hypertension, diabetes, stroke, coronary heart disease, tumors, etc. have become common diseases in today's society, with more and more complex causes, more and more types, more and more diverse manifestations, more and more difficult treatments, and slower recovery. . Li Shimao, a master of traditional Chinese medicine, collectively referred to these diseases as "modern intractable diseases". He believes that most of these diseases are syndromes of phlegm, blood stasis, or phlegm and blood stasis in traditional Chinese medicine. Clinical syndromes can be classified and treated according to this classification, as follows.

    Treat from Phlegm

Li Shimao believes that the etiology of modern intractable diseases is in line with the formation characteristics of phlegm in traditional Chinese medicine. As Zhu Danxi said: "either due to depression, or due to thick taste, or due to lack of sweat, or due to tonics, qi and blood boil, clear and clear It is turbid, the old phlegm stays in the drink, and the glue is solid."

The diversity of modern intractable diseases is in line with the TCM saying that "all diseases are caused by phlegm", such as Shen Jinaoyun: "Phlegm is a thing, it flows unpredictably, up to the top, down to the spring, rising and falling with the air, The whole body is present inside and outside, and there are all internal organs."

The variety of symptoms of modern intractable diseases is in line with the traditional Chinese medicine "strange disease and phlegm" theory, as Zhu Danxi said: "Any phlegm infestation is wheezing for cough, vomiting for benefit, dizziness for dizziness, noisy and palpitations, It is caused by cold, heat, pain and swelling, swelling of the diaphragm, congestion, or noise between the chest and flanks, or the vest is often cold, or the limbs are paralyzed, all caused by phlegm."

The intractable treatment of modern intractable diseases and the slowness of recovery are in line with the characteristics of traditional Chinese medicine, such as heavy phlegm evil, heavy turbidity, viscous cementation, difficult treatment, long course of disease, recurring illness, and difficult recovery.

    Dialectical Thinking

The diagnosis of phlegm syndrome focuses on pulse. Li Shimao started with the "Pulse Diagnosis Syndrome Theory", "Deficiency and Excessive Pulse Diagnosis Synopsis", "Qi and Blood Vessel Synopsis", and "Pulse Diagnosis Three Principles" and led the diagnosis of phlegm syndrome.

Li Shimao believes that the typical pulse of phlegm syndrome is Huamai. Why is the pulse slippery? Because the phlegm evil is blocked, the qi and blood desire to move and fight against evil, which stimulates the qi and blood, so the pulse is slippery. As if there are rocks in the river, when the water flows by, they will fight against the rocks and stir up waves. As he said in the "Pulse Study and Mind Enlightenment": "If it is an evil hindrance, why is the pulse not heavy, late, thin, astringent, knotted and slippery? If the evil hindrance is severe, the Qi block is also severe, and the blood It’s difficult to pass, so the pulse sees heavy and thin knots, even the pulse is closed and faint. If there is evil resistance, but the evil resistance is not so great, the blood and the evil fight and surge, then the pulse can be slippery."

On the basis of Huamai, slippery but strong is the empirical evidence, and slippery but weak is the deficient evidence. If the pulse is slippery, firm, fast, and the fingers are weak and slow, it is a sign of stomach qi failure. This is the true zang-pulse, but the sign of the big emptiness. It should not be mistaken for the true pulse.

On the basis of the main phlegm syndrome and phlegm syndrome of Huamai, the combination of body obesity, fat and thin, thin and fat, head and face swelling, yellow and fat face, eyelid swelling, eye cell swelling, particles or soft masses visible under the skin , Dizziness, dizziness, tinnitus, coughing and wheezing excessive phlegm, insomnia and palpitations, nausea and vomiting, gastric irritation, lack of taste, intestinal diarrhea, sudden pain in a certain part of the body, numbness of hands and feet, swelling and numbness of the tongue, local cold or burning Symptoms such as low yang, lack of impotence, epilepsy, mania, depression, and muddy tongue coating can be considered as phlegm syndrome.

    Treatment principles

Ancient physicians usually started treatment of phlegm from the lungs, spleen and kidneys. For example, the Ming Dynasty physician Wang Lun said in "Miscellaneous Doctors": "The essence of phlegm is water, which originates from the kidney; the dampness of phlegm is also derived from the spleen; The end is also in the lungs, and stored in the lungs."

However, Li Shimao proposed that the treatment of phlegm should not be limited to the three organs of the spleen, lung and kidney, but should consider the dialectical treatment from the five organs.

In the spleen, the deficiency syndrome is mostly spleen deficiency syndrome, and the prescriptions are Sijunzi Decoction, Liujunzi Decoction, Buzhong Yiqi Decoction, etc.; the evidence is mostly phlegm-damp accumulation resistance, and the prescriptions are Erchen Decoction, Yueju Pill, and Bao He Wan, Liuyu Decoction, Wendan Decoction, Bengshi Guntan Pills and other additions and subtractions.

In patients with liver deficiency, liver-blood deficiency and liver-yin deficiency are more common, and Siwu Decoction, Yiguanjian, etc. are used in the prescription; the symptoms are mostly caused by liver-qi stagnation, liver-fire inflammation, liver and gallbladder damp-heat, and Xiaoyaosan and Chai Hushugansan, Yinchenhao Decoction, Longdanxiegan Decoction, etc.

In the heart, there are heart-blood deficiency, heart-yin deficiency, heart-qi deficiency, and heart-yang deficiency syndromes. Prescriptions are Shengmaiyin, Danggui Buxue Decoction, Guipi Decoction, Tianwang Buxin Dan, Zhigancao Decoction, Guizhi plus Longgu Oyster Decoction, Zhenwu Decoctions and other additions and subtractions; empirical evidence is more common in the heart-fire hyperactivity syndrome, the prescriptions use Zhizizhitang, Huanglian Jiedutang, Lianggesan, Qingying Tang, Qinggong Tang and other additions and subtractions.

In lung patients, deficiency syndromes are more common in lung-qi deficiency and lung-yin deficiency syndromes, and prescriptions are used with Shengmaiyin, Yangyin Qingfei Decoction, Baihe Gujin Decoction, etc. Cough powder, Xiebai powder, Qianjinwei stem decoction, Qingqi Huatan Pill, Xiaoxianxiong Decoction, etc.

In patients with the kidneys, there are syndromes of kidney yin deficiency and kidney yang deficiency. The prescriptions are Liuwei Dihuang Pill, Jinkui Shenqi Pill, Zhenwu Decoction, Zuogui Pill, Yougui Pill, etc.

Li Shimao opposes the treatment of phlegm syndrome without differentiation, so he uses Erchen Decoction to control the phlegm, especially for those who have deficiency of yin, blood and body fluid, upside down due to deficiency of fire, and refining fluid for phlegm. He believes that the treatment of phlegm syndrome is more important in addition and subtraction. According to the different nature of phlegm, flexible addition and subtraction changes should be given. As the "Yi Lin Sheng Mo" said: "Heat phlegm is clear, damp phlegm is dry, and wind phlegm is Disperse it, open stubborn phlegm to open it, stubborn phlegm to soften it, eat phlegm to eliminate it, vomit it in the upper part, lower limbs in the middle, and lift it in the lower part.

Among them, those with wet phlegm can add atractylodes, atractylodes, papaya, raw barley, late silkworm sand, Magnolia officinalis, Citrus aurantium, etc.; those with phlegm can add araceae, white aconite, gastrodia, Tianzhuhuang, rigid silkworm, earthworm, etc. Centipede, whole scorpion, alum, honey locust, etc.; for cold phlegm, can add pinellia, white mustard seed, sesame seed, araceae, white aconite, alum, honey locust, almond, inula, asters, coltsfoot, white front, cassia twig , Asarum, dried ginger, ginger, Sichuan black, Sichuan pepper, ephedra, fire salt, etc.; for hot phlegm, add melon, Zhuli, Jingli, Zhuru, Tianzhuhuang, Zhejiang fritillary, Sichuan fritillary, Turmeric, Campanulaceae, Shegan, Peucedanum, Tianzhuhuang, Trichosanthes, Gypsum, Anemarrhena, Scutellaria, Coptis, Cork, Forsythia, Gardenia, Indigo Naturalis, Cinnabar, Bezoar, Realgar, etc.; For those with phlegm, add Chuanxiong, incense Attachment, turmeric, rose, Daidaihua, Chuanzizi, Yuanhu, Bupleurum, etc.; for those who eat phlegm, add hawthorn, divine song, malt, Gallus gallus, Jiao betel nut, woody, Amomum, Citrus aurantium Pumice, sea clam shells, raw oysters, kelp, seaweed, prunella vulgaris, xanthan seeds, corrugated seeds, gallnut, honey locust, etc.; for phlegm, pumice, sea clam shells, raw oysters, kelp, seaweed, prunella vulgaris, xanthan seeds, corrugated seeds, gall, honey locust, etc.; 21nx.com For those with external sputum, add Zhuli, Jingli, Zhuru, Tianzhuhuang, Fritillaria, White Mustard Seeds, etc.; for Qi deficiency, add Astragalus, Codonopsis, Ginseng, Red Ginseng, etc.; for blood deficiency, add raw soil, Rehmannia, Chinese angelica, white peony root, Polygonum multiflorum, Polygonatum, Polygonatum odoratum, Chinese wolfberry, etc.; For those with yin deficiency or body fluid deficiency, rehmannia, Yuanshen, Ophiopogon japonicus, Ligustrum lucidum, Asparagus, tortoise shell, turtle shell, etc. can be added; For those with yang deficiency, add aconite, cassia twig, dried ginger, psoralen, evodia, etc.

In addition, Li Shimao's treatment of phlegm syndrome is against excessive use of attacking benefits. Because of excessive use of attacking benefits, it may hurt the spleen and stomach, or hurt the liver and kidney, or hurt the qi and blood, or hurt the yin and fluid. In turn, the righteousness and disability will result in more phlegm. As the "Danxi Heart Method · Phlegm" said: "Anyone uses too much medicine to treat phlegm, which leads to deficiency of spleen qi, and phlegm tends to grow and increase." Zhang Jingyue also said: "A good cure for phlegm can only help prevent it from regenerating."

    Treating from Stasis

Li Shimao believes that modern intractable diseases not only conform to the characteristics of phlegm evil in Chinese medicine, but also conform to the characteristics of blood stasis.

The occurrence of blood stasis can be caused by qi deficiency, blood deficiency, yin deficiency, and yang deficiency, and can also be caused by the stagnation of cold pathogens, heat evils invigorating yin, stagnation of qi and blood, and traumatic stasis, just like Wang Qingren Said: "Vital energy is weak, it must not reach the blood vessels, blood vessels have no qi, it must stay and stasis" "Blood will condense into lumps when it is cold; blood will be tortured into lumps when it is heated." When the blood is burnt, its blood must be coagulated."

The course of modern difficult and miscellaneous diseases is in line with the characteristics of "long-term illness into the collaterals" of traditional Chinese medicine. It persists for a long time, the disease is more serious, the pathogens are deep, and the blood is damaged by the blood. Just as Ye Tianshi said: "It is in the meridian at the beginning, and it enters the collaterals into the blood for a long time."

The diversity of modern intractable diseases conforms to the characteristics of "wide distribution of collaterals" in traditional Chinese medicine. The collaterals are branches of the meridians, including fifteen other collaterals, fu collaterals, and sun collaterals, which are found everywhere throughout the body. As Zhang Jingyue said in "Leijing·Meridian Lei": "The collaterals do not go through the big knots, but where the meridians are not available, they can connect in and out for circulation."

The complexity and diversity of modern intractable and miscellaneous diseases are in line with the characteristics of blood stasis in traditional Chinese medicine. The clinical manifestations of blood stasis are also diverse and complicated. Only Wang Qingren has summarized more than 50 blood stasis syndromes, including purple and black face, sympathetic joint disease, chest burden, chest burden, food from the chest, People with strange and strange diseases such as heart fever (lantern fever).

    Dialectical Thinking

Li Shimao believes that the blood stasis syndrome has no fixed pulse. He said: "The typical pulse of blood stasis is astringent pulse. Because the blood stasis is blocked, the pulse is astringent, but it is not necessary to deny the existence of blood stasis without seeing the astringent pulse. The pulse varies with the degree of blood clogging. For example, the "Golden Chamber Synopsis: Combined Treatment of Water-Qi Disease and Pulse Syndrome" says:'Shen and slippery phase, blood knot cell door'. Why is blood knot slippery pulse? This is because the degree of blood stasis blocking arthralgia is different. Such as stone blocking waterway, In light cases, when the water flows through, fight against stones to arouse waves, and the pulse will be slippery; in severe cases, the waterway will be smooth and the pulse will be astringent."

Regardless of whether the blood stasis syndrome manifests as astringent pulse, or xuan pulse, thin pulse, smooth pulse or delayed pulse, it is the performance of blood stasis obstructing the Qi machine. On the basis of these pulse conditions, strength is evidence, and weakness is false evidence. Combined with constant pain, tingling nocturnal drama, lumps, limb pain, numbness, spasm, wasting, edema, such as madness, insomnia, forgetfulness, dementia, but you want to rinse without swallowing, dry lips, and acting Fever, palm fever, bone steaming heat, dark complexion, wrong skin nails, dark eyes, scorched hair, dark lip nails, abdomen full of nasty knots, dry stools, black and easy, women's menstrual water is not adjusted, Symptoms such as uterine bleeding or amenorrhea, or even infertility, dark tongue ecchymosis, dark purple veins in the lower collaterals, can be considered as caused by blood stasis.

    Treatment principles

The treatment of blood stasis is to invigorate blood and remove blood stasis, as Wang Qingren said: "It can ventilate the whole body without stagnation, activate blood without stasis, activate qi and activate blood, why not get rid of the disease."

Li Shimao treats blood stasis syndrome clinically, and praises Zhongjing and Wang Qingren to remove blood stasis, such as Didang Decoction, Didang Pill, Xiayuxue Decoction, Biejiajian Pill, Tongqiao Huoxue Decoction, Xuefu Zhuyu Decoction, Gexia Zhuyu Decoction , Shaofu Zhuyu Decoction, Shentong Zhuyu Decoction, Buyang Huanwu Decoction and so on.

At the same time, he also emphasized that the application of the method of promoting blood circulation and removing blood stasis must be based on syndrome differentiation and treatment, or clearing away heat and promoting blood circulation, or dredging collaterals and promoting blood circulation, or phlegm and promoting blood circulation, or warming menstruation and promoting blood circulation, or warming yang and promoting blood circulation, or dispelling water and promoting blood circulation.

In addition, the treatment of blood stasis syndrome is also expensive. Li Shimao’s commonly used drugs for promoting blood circulation and removing blood stasis include peach kernel, safflower, raw rehmannia, angelica, chuanxiong, red peony root, paeonol, tricornu, turmeric, frankincense, myrrh, wulingzhi, salvia, turmeric, motherwort, and Ze Orchid, Puhuang, Yuanhu, Turmeric, Panax Notoginseng, Dry Lacquer, Earth Dragon, Earth Yuan, Leech, Dungworm, Dung Beetle, Grub, Pangolin, etc. For those with fiery internal content, compatible with Forsythia, Gardenia, Yuanshen, Bupleurum, cohosh, Pueraria lobata, dandelion, Prunella vulgaris, Saponaria vulgaris, Platycodon grandiflorum, etc; Borneol, old green onion, ginger, rice wine, Qianghuo, Angelica dahurica, Ligusticum vulgare, vine vine, sea breeze vine, Wei Lingxian, mulberry branch, etc.; for those with stagnation of liver and qi, compatible with Bupleurum, Citrus aurantium, Platycodon, Achyranthes, Drugs such as Cyperus rotundus; those with cold stagnation and qi stagnation, compatible with fennel, cinnamon, evodia, cassia twig, etc.; those with deficiency of qi, compatible with Codonopsis, Atractylodes, licorice, raw astragalus, etc.; 21nx.com yang deficiency, compatible with Aconite, dried Ginger, cinnamon, Xianling spleen, Morinda officinalis, etc.; for blood deficiency, compatible with Angelica, Radix Paeoniae Alba, Polygonum multiflorum, Polygonatum, Polygonatum, etc.; for body deficiency, compatible with Ophiopogon, Yuanshen, Trichosanthes, Pueraria lobata, Zhimu, etc. Tiandong, etc.; those with deficiency of kidney essence should be compatible with Cuscuta, Eucommia, Morus, Gouji, Drynaria, etc.

Treat from mutual conclusion of phlegm and blood

Li Shimao believes that in modern intractable diseases, there are phlegm evil as the patient and blood stasis as the patient, but the most common clinical phenomenon is the mutual accumulation of phlegm and blood stasis as the patient-the phlegm syndrome becomes longer and blocks the meridian and causes blood stasis; Over time, blood stasis for a long time, blocking the meridian, can also lead to phlegm-dampness block, eventually forming a syndrome of mutual accumulation of phlegm and blood stasis.

    Dialectical Thinking

The diagnosis of mutual accumulation of phlegm and blood stasis focuses on pulse. Li Shimao started with the theory of "three outlines of pulse diagnosis", and led the diagnosis of phlegm and blood stasis.

First of all, he divided the phlegm and blood stasis syndrome into two types: the phlegm and blood stasis syndrome that emphasizes phlegm and the phlegm and blood stasis syndrome that emphasizes blood stasis. The previous syndrome is more common.

Syndrome of mutual accumulation of phlegm and blood stasis that is heavy on phlegm. The pulse condition is mainly composed of slippery pulse, slippery and strong as evidence, slippery and weak as deficiency syndrome, combined with physical obesity, dizziness, dizziness, chest tightness, sticky sputum, fullness of the stomach, numbness, and symptom Judging the phlegm syndromes such as lump, white or yellowish, fat tongue, muddy tongue coating, etc., and also have dull complexion, wrong skin nails, dark eyes, dark lip nails, dark tongue, etc. A symptom can be diagnosed.

Syndrome of phlegm and blood stasis that emphasizes blood stasis, whether it is astringent pulse or xuan pulse, thin pulse, slippery pulse, delayed pulse, all have strength as evidence, and weakness as deficiency. Combined with local pain, lumps, dark complexion, dark eyes, dark lip nails, dark purple blood clots, dark tongue and other symptoms of blood stasis, it can be judged with obesity, sticky mouth, sputum, dizziness and dizziness. One or two symptoms such as muddy and greasy moss can be diagnosed.

People with phlegm and blood stasis are often severely ill, which can cause systemic disorders of qi, blood and body fluid metabolism, dysfunction of multiple organs, and even life-threatening. For example, phlegm and blood stasis block the heart and chest with chest pain and heartache, which can cause heartache and even death; phlegm and blood stasis block the heart orifice with stroke syndrome, which can lead to mental coma, slurred speech and even sudden death; phlegm, blood, stasis and poison block the viscera and meridians, which can cause death. It can lead to cancerous swelling, endogenous pleural and ascites, thin muscles, mental coma and even death.

Phlegm and blood stasis can cause problems with each other, the cementation is difficult to solve, the Qi machine is blocked, the blood vessel is blocked, the disease is serious, and the disease is extensive, so the treatment is very difficult, causing the disease to be lingering and persistent. For example, in patients with lung distension, due to the mutual accumulation of phlegm and blood stasis in the lungs, the lung qi is not good, and the lungs, spleen and kidneys are weakened over time. The manifestations are full chest, phlegm and salivation, dull complexion, cyanosis of the lips and tongue, edema of limbs, and asthma when moving. Causes a long course of disease, prolonged and difficult to heal.

    Treatment principles

Li Shimao proposed that the treatment methods of phlegm and blood stasis, which are more phlegm, and blood stasis, are phlegm and blood stasis. Prescriptions are often selected Daotan Decoction and Taohong Siwu Decoction. The medicines include tangerine peel, Qing Pinellia, Poria, Trichosanthis, Scallion White, Zhe Fritillary, Shichangpu, Dannanxing, Tianzhu Huang, Turmeric, Bamboo Lek, Peach Kernel, Red Flower, Angelica, Habitat, Red Peony, Chuanxiong, Salvia, Dalbergia, Hematoxylin, Liu Jinu, Eupatorium, Stiff Silkworm, Earth Dragon, Tuyuan, Leech, Centipede, Whole Scorpion, Dung Beetle, Scorpion, Dew Hive , Black snake and so on.

Li Shimao pointed out that the deficiency of the above two types of syndromes are mostly both qi deficiency and yang deficiency. Due to the weak promotion of qi deficiency and the loss of warmth due to yang deficiency, it is easy to cause the production and stagnation of phlegm and blood stasis. Phlegm is a yin evil, blood belongs to yin type. After the formation of phlegm and blood stasis, the formation of phlegm and blood stasis will in turn damage the vitality and yang, thus aggravating the loss of vitality and yang. When on the basis of removing phlegm and removing blood stasis, pay attention to compatibility Medicines and warm-yang medicines, such as raw astragalus, Codonopsis, Paofuzi, dried ginger, Guizhi, etc.

The evidence of the above two types of syndromes is mostly hot, because the hot liquid is easy to condense phlegm and heat enters the camp and the blood is burned to form stasis. At this time, on the basis of resolving phlegm and removing blood stasis, it can be combined with drugs for clearing heat and purging fire and nourishing yin and promoting body fluid. Such as Coptis, Scutellaria, Cork, Honeysuckle, Forsythia, Gardenia, Dandelion, Habitat, Yuanshen, Ophiopogon, Adenophora, Dendrobium, Pueraria lobata, Anemarrhena, Trichosanthes, Imperata root, Reed root, etc.

Li Shimao believes that the syndrome of phlegm and blood stasis is more stubborn and difficult to resolve and lingering than the simple phlegm syndrome or blood stasis syndrome, and it is difficult to obtain quick results. Therefore, the treatment should be slow, and you should be good at defending, not only attacking evil, but not hurting. It is the king's way to damage the righteousness. At the same time, patients are instructed to pay attention to their diet and daily life. All products that are spicy and thick, promote dampness, produce phlegm, and hinder qi and blood stasis should be taken with caution to achieve good results.

    Differentiating diseases by viewing phlegm

Traditional Chinese medicine believes that if a disease occurs in the human respiratory system, the secretions of the respiratory tract-sputum, can be used to identify the disease. Let’s learn how to observe phlegm and identify diseases in Chinese medicine.

    Purulent sputum:

The sputum is thick or thin, light green or yellow-green in color, brown when mixed with blood, and will give off a fishy smell. This kind of sputum is mostly seen in patients with lung abscesses and purulent bronchiectasis. Such patients are generally more serious and should go to the hospital to see a doctor as soon as possible.

    Mucous sputum:

Mucous sputum is mostly gray-white, or colorless and transparent. This sputum is mostly seen in patients with bronchitis, or at the initial stage of pneumonia, and at the stage of bronchial asthma attack.

    Bloody sputum:

There are blood streaks in the sputum, because the blood volume is different, the blood color is different, indicating that the lesion is different. For example, the sputum is bright red, which is mostly found in tuberculosis and bronchiectasis; the sputum is rust-colored, which is more common in lobar pneumonia; rotten peach-like or rotten fish belly-like sputum is more common in lung fluke; brown-red sputum is found in amoebic lung abscess ; Red-brown viscous jelly-like sputum, more common in Klebsiella pneumoniae infection. Because Klebsiella pneumoniae is very virulent, it is easy to develop resistance to various antibiotics, the clinical manifestations are very dangerous, the treatment is also difficult, and the prognosis is poor. Now it has attracted the attention of clinicians: so, there is this Those with sputum should go to the hospital for treatment as soon as possible.

    Foamy sputum:

The sputum is thin and foamy. If the foam is pale white, this is mostly seen in chronic bronchitis; if the foam is pink, it is common in pulmonary edema.

The phlegm diseases and phlegm syndromes listed above are only part of the common "phlegm diseases". The theory of phlegm diseases in Chinese medicine is very rich in content, including a wide range of contents, and it involves almost every clinical department. Therefore, once we find that we and our family members have abnormal sputum quality, we should pay great attention to it and go to the hospital for related examinations as soon as possible.

Pulmonary interstitial fibrosis belongs to the categories of "Pulmonary Arthritis", "Cough", "Asthmatic Syndrome", "Pulmonary Abnormality", and "Lung Distention" in Traditional Chinese Medicine. In modern research, pulmonary interstitial fibrosis is named "Lung Bi", "Lung dysfunction" is the majority. While studying with Mr. Jiang Liangduo from Dongzhimen Hospital Affiliated to Beijing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, the author listened to his incisive exposition on the differentiation and treatment of four causes of pulmonary interstitial fibrosis from poison, phlegm, stasis, and deficiency, and witnessed the effectiveness of its prescription Efficacy. The brief description is as follows.

    poison

Poison is also called poisonous evil and poisonous gas. Different toxins have different properties, but they also have common pathogenic characteristics. For example, the poisonous evils are deeply rooted and affect the viscera; it is easy to change heat and fire, septicemia and damage the yin; the disease is lingering, and it is easy to become a legacy. Toxins often coexist with other pathogens. The unhealthy qi in the four seasons is often a prerequisite for the production of poisons. Therefore, toxins often combine with the six evils to form wind, cold, heat, dampness, and dryness. Poison etc. At present, greenhouse gas emissions have greatly increased environmental pollution, and various toxic substances in the air have increased. "Environmental gas poisoning" seriously affects human health. After "environmental gas poison" enters the human body, it directly consumes righteous qi and reduces its ability to resist evil. If the righteous qi is strong, the poison can resist the poison even though it hurts the righteousness, then the poison can be excreted; If the body's righteous qi is insufficient, inhalation of gas toxin will directly damage the lungs, causing the qi toxin and stasis, phlegm and turbidity to interlock; or the six evil toxins will invade the body, and the evil toxin will damage the righteous qi. It is damaged, resulting in obstruction of the pulmonary collaterals, poor air flow, imbalance of blood flow, and loss of lungs, resulting in decreased or disappeared respiratory function.

Wind poison is good at walking the surface but easy to enter the inside. It is most likely to injure the internal organs. First offending the watch, then entering the interior to dissipate the heat, the heat toxin is congested, and those who are in the lungs, the lungs will be blocked, and the symptoms will be reduced, coughing, chest pain, sputum with blood, shortness of breath and panting. Medicinal forsythia, cicada, burdock, cordyceps, ganoderma, American ginseng, polygonatum, xianling spleen, cornus, etc.

Cold toxins with closed lungs and cold toxins are both rapid and violent, but also dark and hidden. They are most likely to hide in the internal organs. It can occur in half a year or several decades. Cold toxin visits the lungs, symptoms include asthma, chest tightness, cough, thin and white sputum, purple tongue or petechiae. Medicinal ephedra, almonds, licorice, sesame seeds, orange, aster, chuanxiong, salvia, earthworm, astragalus, raw sun ginseng, atractylodes, etc.

Heat toxins choke the lungs. Heat toxins invade the lungs, easily invade the blood, and easily injure the internal organs. Excessive heat toxin lungs, obstruction of collateral collaterals, dysfunction, cough and asthma, thick yellow expectoration, hemoptysis or mixed phlegm and blood, irritated heat in the chest, thin yellow fur, floating pulse. Medicinal forsythia, louver, scutellaria, houttuynia, honeysuckle, knotweed, ephedra, almonds, gypsum, whole melon, mulberry bark, Tinglizi, etc.

Drying toxins hurts the lungs and is toxic and dry. It is good at dispelling Shuoyin liquid and easily invades the lungs. Dry evil invades the lungs, it can be seen that there is pain in the chest and flanks, dry cough without sputum, or blood in the sputum, or even wheezing, irritability and so on. Medicinal Adenophora, Ophiopogon, Habitat, Almond, Loquat Leaf, Ejiao, Mulberry Leaf, Fritillaria, Reed Root, etc.

Gas toxin smokes the lungs. Because humans live in the atmosphere, the toxic dust and particles in the polluted atmosphere increase. After people inhale the respiratory tract, the toxic dust and particles stay in the lungs, causing lung damage and causing lungs. The occurrence of qualitative fibrosis. Clinically, different detoxification drugs should be used according to different virus-causing gases.

Discussion on the expectorant effect of acacia

Honey locust is the fruit of the leguminous acacia tree. It is pungent in nature and flavorful, warm, and slightly poisonous. It returns to the lungs and large intestine meridian, and has the special effect of expectorating. Many Chinese herbalists have described its expectorant power. "Medicine Huayi" says: "Scaly locust-flavored Daxin is the main source of rising and dispersing...It is a quick medicine for searching phlegm", "Rihuazi" says it "eliminates phlegm", "Depei Materia Medica" calls it "searching wind and removing phlegm" "Compendium of Materia Medica" contains: "Through the lungs and large intestine Qi...phlegm, asthma and cough", especially in Jing said that this product "the taste is pungent into the lungs, the most powerful in removing phlegm." Acacia pill, that is, this product is used as a honey pill. Use jujube ointment soup to treat cough and upset the qi, and always turbid saliva without sleep; fishing phlegm ointment, also boiled the ointment with acacia, add vinegar, boil pinellia and alum, and pound persimmons into pills, used for chest sputum syndrome.

Drawing on the experience of the sages, the author treats modern medical emergencies, chronic bronchitis, emphysema, pulmonary heart disease, pneumonia, asthma and other diseases. For those with cough, wheezing and excessive sputum, this product can be used on the basis of conventional medication to solve the danger . This product can eliminate the accumulation of phlegm, and it can also be used with the syndrome to invigorate the spleen and promote qi, soften the spleen. Nowadays, people use this product to treat obesity and acne, and also take its power to resolve phlegm.

Traditionally, honey locust is still beneficial to joints. As early as in the "Ben Jing", there is a record of this product "mainly wind arthralize dead muscle", and "Ri Hua Zi" also says that it can "pass joints". However, the dead muscle of Bi syndrome, each clip of phlegm and blood stasis, phlegm and blood stasis, and joints, meridians, and collaterals are difficult to solve. At this time, it is essential to expel phlegm and remove blood stasis, and honey locust has this function.

Looking at the work of the acacia locust, not only the tangible phlegm, but also the invisible phlegm. Critical and chronic illnesses, if you vote decisively, you will get quick results. However, it is regrettable that this product seems to be uncommon in modern medical records. Gu Yun: The treatment is like the battle, and the medicine is like the military. The key to clinical medicine dispatching lies in the doctor's ability to control. As Xu Dachun, an early physician in the Qing Dynasty, said: "The method of manipulation is powerful." If you are afraid that its pungent will disperse, the medicine is violent, and it is a pity to avoid it!

The decoction should be 3 to 6 grams. Pregnant women and blood syndrome are forbidden, and deficiency syndrome is used with caution. (What money)

Treatment of Coronary Heart Disease by Eliminating Phlegm and Removing Blood Stasis

Wu Mou, female, 58 years old, was diagnosed for the first time on March 16, 2010. Paroxysmal chest pain lasted for 3 months and worsened for 1 week. The patient had paroxysmal chest and back tingling with no obvious cause before 3 months and was diagnosed with coronary heart disease and angina. Diagnosis: chest and back tingling, chest tightness such as suffocation, burning sensation, pain in the mouth, yellow and sticky sputum, yellow greasy tongue coating, dark purple tongue, slippery pulse. Check the ECG chart: ST-T changes. TCM diagnosis: chest obstruction, syndrome of phlegm turbidity and blood stasis. To cure phlegm and remove blood stasis, use Wendan Decoction as a prescription. Prescription: 25 grams of dried tangerine peel, 15 grams of Pinellia ternata, 25 grams of Poria cocos, 10 grams of licorice, 20 grams of Zhuru, 15 grams of Citrus aurantium, 25 grams of Coptis, 30 grams of Salvia, 10 grams of Safflower, 25 grams of Chuanxiong, 20 grams of Red Peony , Dannanxing 20 grams, calamus 25 grams, ginger 15 grams, 10 jujubes. 7 doses, decocted in water, 1 dose a day, divided into morning and evening.

Second visit: After taking the medicine, the chest tightness was less than before, and there was still chest pain and back pain. Add 40 grams of dog ridge and 40 grams of kudzu root on top, 7 doses.

Third visit: chest pain and back pain were significantly reduced. Following the service ahead. Following the above, I added and subtracted slightly with the testimony. After taking it for more than 2 months, I had occasional chest pain and no obvious discomfort.

Note: Coronary heart disease and angina pectoris belong to the category of "chest obstruction and heartache" in traditional Chinese medicine. Its onset is mostly considered to be on the basis of insufficient qi, blood, yin and yang, visceral dysfunction, combined with phlegm, qi stagnation, blood stasis, cold coagulation and other pathologies, belonging to the original deficiency The clinical signs of disease and syndrome are mostly based on the deficiency of both qi and yin and the mutual accumulation of phlegm and blood stasis as the criterion. The majority of patients with chest pain and heartache are middle-aged and elderly people. Because this population is over half a hundred years old, the viscera function is impaired, the stomach is not absorbed, and the spleen loses its transport. This makes the spleen's transport and dysfunction abnormal, and the dampness will stop and gather together. Phlegm, arthralgia obstructs the heart pulse, and the heart pulse is obstructed, which leads to the production of blood stasis. The blood stasis blocks the collaterals, and can accumulate dampness and produce phlegm. Phlegm and blood stasis have the same disease and block the heart pulse. These are the pathological characteristics of this disease. Moreover, people’s diet nowadays is mainly fat, sweet and thick. It damages the spleen and stomach for a long time, loses its function, gathers dampness into phlegm, upsets the heart and the chest, does not develop the heart yang, does not smooth the flow of energy, obstructs the heart, and blood stasis Endogenous, phlegm and blood stasis are intertwined, resulting in illness. The main treatment is to eliminate phlegm and remove blood stasis, and according to clinical differentiation, adopt corresponding auxiliary treatment methods. In the prescription, Pinellia ternata removes dampness and resolves phlegm, reduces the inverse and the stomach; Zhuru clears the gallbladder and the stomach, relieves irritation and relieves vomiting; tangerine peel and citrus aurantium practice qi to eliminate phlegm, phlegm follows the qi, so that qi is smooth, phlegm will eliminate itself; Exudation of dampness, phlegm will not grow if dampness is removed; Chuanxiong, safflower, salvia, red peony promotes blood circulation and removes blood stasis, unblocks blood vessels; Dannanxing clears fire and resolves phlegm; calamus opens up orifice, relieves phlegm and regulates qi, promotes blood circulation and dehumidification; It can not only invigorate the spleen, but also reconcile various drugs. Corresponding medicine certificate, excellent effect.

All diseases are born in phlegm Erchen decoction eliminates phlegm

"All diseases are born from sputum", "long-term illnesses produce sputum"... Phlegm is mostly a symptom of many diseases, and there are many types of sputum, including cold phlegm (patients are afraid of cold, prefer hot drinks, and have thin or greasy tongue coating) Damp phlegm (the patient is heavy, tired, loose stools, white or greasy tongue coating), hot phlegm (the patient is afraid of heat, prefers cold drinks, red tongue and yellow greasy coating), dry phlegm (the patient feels dry mouth, nose, and throat, If the tongue coating is thin yellow), wind phlegm (the patient is afraid of wind, and the tongue coating turns thin and yellow after the beginning of white), the "five brothers", if you want to cure it, it is difficult to find the root cause of the phlegm.

    TCM decryption

The sputum of the elderly is mostly "virtual" and the sputum of children is mostly "hot"

In people’s impression, phlegm is often accompanied by colds, coughs and other symptoms, especially for the elderly and children. This understanding has led many people into a misunderstanding: the cold is cured, phlegm is naturally reduced; after a child takes a certain medicine, The phlegm became less. In fact, a careful person will find that when there is a lot of phlegm, there will be symptoms such as dizziness, headache, and heart palpitations. This corresponds to the saying that "all diseases are born from phlegm".

The elderly and children are the key populations for producing phlegm. The excess sputum of the elderly is often caused by spleen deficiency, lung deficiency, and kidney deficiency, and the excess phlegm in children is caused by lung heat. The two groups of people should not be confused in the treatment and medication.

    Syndrome differentiation

See the source of phlegm treatment

To treat phlegm, it is necessary to distinguish the type of phlegm to find the root cause, and then seek the treatment method, as the so-called "see phlegm to cure phlegm", "good cure, cure the source of phlegm", such as lung heat and phlegm, clearing heat and reducing fire Phlegm will be eliminated; spleen deficiency and dampness will produce phlegm, and the spleen will be invigorated and dampness can be eliminated. Here are a few common treatment prescriptions for readers.

The above are the prescriptions for the targeted treatment of excessive phlegm. One of the prescriptions is the "universal" prescription. Various phlegm diseases can be treated by adding or subtracting it. Chen Tang".

    Misunderstanding

Old people should not use sputum to treat phlegm

In daily life, people often choose licorice or sputum to treat sore throat and excessive phlegm, because these two medicines are more convenient to take, but this approach is somewhat biased in Chinese medicine. Experts say that licorice has the effect of resolving phlegm. If the phlegm is very sticky and cannot be spit out, taking licorice can resolve phlegm, so that the phlegm can be spit out, but it only reduces phlegm, and does not have the effect of expectorant, so it treats the symptoms and not the root cause . But the old people shouldn't take Pangda, because although Pangda has an expectorant effect, it is only for hot phlegm.

    Expert remind

To prevent more phlegm, keep in mind the "four do not eat"

To prevent excessive phlegm, in terms of eating habits, we should adhere to the "four non-eating": eating too much, not overeating, not eating too much sweet and greasy food, and not eating too much food that hurts the kidneys.

"Erchen Soup" is commonly used by the elderly

"All diseases are born from sputum", "weird diseases are born from sputum", "long-term illnesses produce phlegm"... Phlegm is mostly a symptom of many diseases, and there are many types of phlegm, including cold phlegm, wet phlegm, hot phlegm, and dryness. To cure the "five brothers" of phlegm and wind phlegm, it is difficult to find the root cause of the phlegm. Experts remind that it is best not to believe in folk remedies to treat excessive phlegm. Treating phlegm after syndrome differentiation is the last word.

    the reason

The sputum of the elderly is mostly "virtual" and the sputum of children is mostly "hot"

In people's impression, phlegm is often accompanied by colds, coughs and other symptoms, especially the elderly and children, who often get sick because of weak resistance. This understanding has led many people into a misunderstanding: When a cold is cured, the phlegm is naturally reduced; after a child takes a certain medicine, the phlegm becomes less, so the elderly also take this medicine. In fact, meticulous people will find that when there is a lot of phlegm, they will also have symptoms such as dizziness, headaches, and heart palpitations. This is exactly the answer to the saying that "all diseases are born from phlegm." Cause various diseases.

    treatment

See the source of phlegm treatment

The production of sputum is mainly related to the lung and spleen. The ancients have long said that "the spleen is the source of phlegm, and the lung is the organ of sputum storage". Fan Xiaorong said that phlegm can be divided into five types: cold phlegm, wind phlegm, hot phlegm, wet phlegm and dry phlegm (see further reading for details). In the treatment of sputum, it is necessary to identify the type of sputum to find the root cause. Then seek treatment methods, as the so-called "seeing phlegm and resting treatment of phlegm", "good curers, treating the source of phlegm." If lung heat produces phlegm, clearing heat and lowering fire will eliminate phlegm; spleen deficiency and dampness will produce phlegm, and spleen can be strengthened and dampness can be invigorated. The following are several common treatment prescriptions introduced by Fan Xiaorong.

●Linggan Five Flavor Jiangxin Soup (for cold phlegm)

Prescriptions are combined with warming cold medicine (such as dried ginger, cinnamon, asarum, Chinese pepper, aconite), warming cold phlegm medicine (such as pinellia, male star, white mustard seed), cough and asthma medicine (such as Baiqian, Stemona) Become.

[Composition] 12 grams of Poria, 6 grams of Licorice, 6 grams of Schisandra, 9 grams of dried ginger, 6 grams of Asarum

    ●Xiaoxianxiong Soup (for hot phlegm)

The prescription is mainly composed of heat-clearing and purging gunpowder (such as Coptis, Scutellaria, Rhubarb), and heat-clearing and phlegm medicine (such as Fritillaria, Chinlou, Zhuli), and corresponding medicines.

[Composition] Coptis 6 grams, Pinellia ternata 9 grams, Trichosanthes 15 grams

    ●Cough powder (for wind phlegm)

The prescription is a combination of external wind evacuation drugs (such as nepeta, fangfeng, etc.) and cough and phlegm relieving drugs (such as asters, winter flowers, stalks, white front, etc.).

[Composition] Stir-fried Platycodon grandiflorum, Steamed Nepeta, Steamed Asters, Stem and Boiled Baiqian 9g each, 3g licorice, 6g dried tangerine peel

●Erchen Decoction (for various sputum diseases)

The prescription is based on medicines that can not only invigorate the spleen, but also dispel dampness and resolve phlegm (such as Pinellia, Tangerine Peel, Poria, etc.).

[Composition] 10 grams each of Pinellia and Tangerine, 9 grams of Poria, 4.5 grams of Roasted Licorice

The above are prescriptions for targeted treatment of excessive phlegm. At the same time, Fan Xiaorong said that one prescription is a "universal" prescription, and all kinds of phlegm can be treated by adding or subtracting it. It is the so-called "Erchen Soup". The orange red in the prescription and Pinellia are precious in Chenjiu, and the old medicine is not too dry, hence the name "Erchen Decoction".

The reason why it is said to be a "universal" prescription is because: those belonging to wind phlegm add southern star and white aconite; those belonging to cold phlegm add dried ginger and asarum; those belonging to hot phlegm add Chinese chinensis, bamboo yellow, and scutellaria; For sputum, add citrus aurantium and divine comedy; for stubborn sputum, add pumice and pumice.

    Misunderstanding

Old people should not use sputum to treat phlegm

To treat sore throat and excessive phlegm, citizens often choose licorice or sputum in daily life. Both are more convenient to take. However, this approach is somewhat biased in Chinese medicine. Fan Xiaorong said that licorice has the ability to resolve phlegm. “If the phlegm is very sticky and cannot be vomited out, taking licorice can resolve phlegm, so that the phlegm can be vomited out. However, it only resolves phlegm, not expectorant. "But the old people shouldn’t take sputum. Fan Xiaorong said that sputum does have an expectorant effect, but only for hot phlegm. “The phlegm of the elderly has almost no hot phlegm. Backfired."

    remind

To prevent more phlegm, keep in mind the "four do not eat"

Sickness can easily lead to excessive phlegm, and excessive phlegm can also lead to illness. Excessive phlegm can cause coughing, heart palpitations, dizziness, headache, and even stroke, epilepsy, syncope, etc. There are sayings in Chinese medicine that "all diseases are caused by phlegm" and "weird diseases are caused by phlegm". ". Fan Xiaorong said that in daily life, in terms of eating habits, one should adhere to the "four no-eatings": eating too much, not overeating, not eating too much sweet and greasy food, and not eating too much food that hurts the kidney. Because "the spleen is the source of phlegm and the lung is the organ of phlegm", these practices are to prevent damage to the spleen, lung and kidney.

What if there is too much phlegm? Fan Xiaorong said that phlegm is a more complicated disease, and it is best for ordinary citizens not to treat it by themselves, but to go to a regular hospital for dialectical treatment.

How to distinguish the type of sputum?

Cold phlegm: The lungs are invaded by cold pathogens, and the lungs lose their normal function, causing body fluid to condense into phlegm, which is white. The patient is afraid of cold, prefers hot drinks, and the tongue coating is thin and white or greasy.

Wind phlegm: It is caused by wind pathogens invading the lungs. The phlegm begins to become thin and yellow, and the phlegm becomes yellowish and sticky later. The patient is afraid of wind, and the tongue coating becomes thin and yellow after the first white.

Hot phlegm: After a few days of high fever caused by heat evil invading the lungs or first exposed to wind or cold, the body fluid is burned and turned into yellow viscous phlegm. The patient is afraid of heat, prefers cold drinks, has red tongue and yellow greasy coating.

Damp phlegm: It is caused by dampness evil invading the human body (such as living in a humid environment), causing lung and spleen dysfunction or imbalanced eating and drinking. The water dampness condenses into phlegm, which is white and watery. The patient has weight, fatigue or Loose stools and other symptoms, thin or white tongue coating.

Dry phlegm: Due to the dry climate, dry evil invades the lungs, the phlegm is thick and difficult to cough up or cough up blood, the patient feels dry mouth, nose, and throat symptoms, and the tongue coating is thin and yellow.

All diseases are born from phlegm, "cold, heat, wind...

Dry phlegm due to the dry climate, dry evil invades the lungs, thick phlegm is not easy to cough up or hemoptysis, the patient feels dry mouth, nose, and throat symptoms, and the tongue coating is thin and yellow.

The elderly and children tend to catch colds because of their weak resistance, and cough and expectoration of sputum will follow after a cold. Therefore, people will buy some cold medicines and anti-inflammatory drugs, thinking that as long as the cold is over, the phenomenon of coughing and expectoration is natural There will be less. In fact, a careful person will find that when there is more phlegm, it will be accompanied by symptoms such as dizziness, headache, heart palpitations, etc. This is exactly the answer to the phrase "all diseases are born from phlegm" in Chinese medicine: sickness will cause more phlegm, and phlegm More can cause various diseases.

Traditional Chinese medicine believes that “the spleen is the source of phlegm, and the lung is the organ of phlegm”. The production of sputum is mainly related to the lungs and spleen. Generally speaking, excessive phlegm in middle-aged and elderly people is caused by spleen deficiency, lung deficiency, and kidney deficiency, while excessive phlegm in children is caused by lung heat. Phlegm is divided into "cold, heat, wind, dampness, and dryness". The treatment of "phlegm syndrome" needs to be treated after syndrome differentiation: if there is lung heat, lung heat should be cleared first, and spleen deficiency and dampness should be invigorated and spleen dry. The following are several commonly used classic prescriptions for the treatment of phlegm.

Cold phlegm-12 grams of Linggan Wuwei Jiangxin Decoction Poria, 6 grams each of licorice, schisandra, and Asarum, 9 grams of dried ginger, decocted in water. In the prescription, dried ginger not only warms the lungs to dispel cold, but also warms the spleen and yang to dispel dampness; asarum warms the lungs and dispels cold, helps the power of dry ginger to warm the lungs and dispel colds; Drink diuresis; to prevent dried ginger and asarum from damaging the lung qi, schisandra is used to restrain the lungs and relieve cough; licorice and Chinese medicine. The whole prescription can be called a good medicine for warming cold drink.

Hot phlegm-6 grams of Xiaoxianxiong Decoction Coptidis, 9 grams of Pinellia ternata, 15 grams of Trichosanthes, decoction in water. In the prescription, Rhizoma Coptidis clears heat and relieves fire, Pinellia ternata resolves phlegm and relieves knots. The two medicines are used in combination to relieve bitterness and relieve internal resistance of phlegm-heat. The three drugs play the role of clearing away heat and eliminating phlegm, widening the chest and dispelling congestion.

Wind phlegm-anti-cough and dispersing Platycodon grandiflorum (fried), Nepeta, Asters, Stemone, Baiqian each 9 grams, 3 grams of licorice, 6 grams of tangerine peel. In the prescription, Baibu and Ziyuan relieve cough and reduce phlegm; Platycodon grandiflorum opens lung qi; Baiqian reduces qi and resolves phlegm; Nepeta spp. relieves wind and relieves surface; tangerine peel regulates qi and resolves phlegm; licorice reconciles various drugs. This prescription is effective for those who have a new long-term cough and cough uncomfortable.

Wet phlegm (various phlegm symptoms)-Erchen Tang Pinellia and Tangerine 10 grams each, Poria 9 grams, 5 grams of roasted licorice. This prescription is the basic prescription for removing dampness and resolving phlegm. After addition and subtraction, it can be used for various phlegm syndromes.

To treat damp phlegm, add Atractylodes Rhizome and Magnolia officinalis to increase dampness and reduce phlegm; to treat hot phlegm, add Danxing and Trichosanthes to clear away heat and resolve phlegm; to treat cold phlegm, add dried ginger and asarum to warm and reduce cold phlegm; To treat wind, phlegm, and dizziness, add gastrodia elata, rigid silkworm to eliminate phlegm and wind; treat phlegm, add scutellaria, malt to eliminate food and phlegm; treat stagnant phlegm, add xiangfu, green peel, turmeric to relieve depression and phlegm ; Treatment of scrofula and sputum nucleus in phlegm flow meridian, can add seaweed, kelp, oyster to soften phlegm.

Because of the dry nature of this prescription, people with dry sputum should be used with caution; those with vomiting blood, diminishing thirst, yin deficiency, and blood deficiency should not use this prescription.

In daily life, to treat sore throat and excessive phlegm, I often choose licorice or sputum because it is more convenient to take both. However, this approach is somewhat biased in Chinese medicine.

Licorice has the ability to resolve phlegm. If the phlegm is very sticky and cannot be spit out, taking licorice can resolve the phlegm, so that the phlegm can be spit out. However, it only resolves phlegm and does not have the effect of expectorating. The sputum sputum has an expectorant effect, but it is only for hot phlegm, and the sputum of the elderly has almost no hot sputum. Eating too much sputum may be counterproductive.

Relieving masses and removing phlegm to treat plum core qi

There is a foreign body sensation in the throat, such as the blockage of the mei nucleus. The disease is mostly caused by stagnation of seven emotions, resulting in phlegm and turbidity, and air blockage in the throat. The mood is relieved and the symptoms are reduced, and Banxia Houpu decoction is used to treat it to relieve the liver and relieve depression, promote stagnation of qi, and relieve congestion and phlegm.

Recipe: 12 grams of Pinellia, 9 grams of Magnolia officinalis, 20 grams of Poria cocos, 15 grams of Turmeric, 12 grams of Cyperus rotundus, 10 grams of Platycodon, 12 grams of Bupleurum, 9 grams of ginger, 6 grams of Su Ye. Decoction is taken twice in the morning and evening, and one dose per day. Generally, 5 to 7 doses of the medicine are effective. (Guo Xuguang)

    Banxia

Pinellia is a dry tuber of a perennial herbaceous plant of the Araceae family. It is mainly produced in Sichuan, Hubei, Jiangsu and other places. It is excavated in summer and autumn and dried as medicine. The processed products include Qing Pinellia, French Pinellia, Ginger Pinellia, Pinellia Qu, Zhuli Pinellia and so on. It is pungent in taste, warm in nature, toxic, and returns to the lungs, spleen, and stomach meridians. It has a good effect of removing dampness and reducing phlegm and reducing phlegm and anti-vomiting. medicine". Modern pharmacological studies have shown that: Pinellia tubers contain volatile oil, a small amount of fat, starch, nicotine, alkaloids, etc. Its decoction has antitussive, expectorant, and relieves bronchial smooth muscle spasm, and can inhibit the vomiting center and stop vomiting. An overdose of Pinellia ternata can cause poisoning, and severe cases can cause respiratory paralysis. Therefore, it is clinically commonly used processed products for oral administration and appropriate amount of external use of raw products.

    Phlegm-resolving medicine

Pinellia is pungent and dry, good at dampness and phlegm, and medicine is needed for dampness and phlegm. It also has the effect of eliminating phlegm and dispelling phlegm by resolving phlegm, which is longer than treating various syndromes of damp phlegm in the viscera.

The damp phlegm prevents the lung from coughing and qi inverse. This product is formulated with dried tangerine peel that can regulate the qi and invigorate the spleen and resolve phlegm, such as the famous Erchen Decoction.

If the heart is full of discomfort due to phlegm-heat and chest, this product is often compatible with Gualou, Coptis, etc., such as Xiaoxianxiong Decoction.

Cold phlegm cough, symptoms of chest tightness and discomfort, phlegm is clear and thin, pinellia must be combined with dried ginger, asarum, etc., such as Xiaoqinglong soup.

For the headache and dizziness of phlegm, clear orifice, it can be compatible with gastrodia elata and atractylodes, such as Banxia Baizhu decoction.

Plum core qi with stagnation of phlegm and qi, if there is plum nucleus obstruction in the throat, which cannot be swallowed or vomited out, it can be compatible with Perilla and Platycodon grandiflorum, such as Siqi Decoction.

The gallbladder tumors that accumulate phlegm and the sputum nucleus can be compatible with kelp and seaweed, such as seaweed Yuhu soup.

    Anti-vomiting medicine

Pinellia ternata has a good effect of relieving vomiting, and medicine is needed to relieve vomiting. It is often compatible with ginger, and its anti-vomiting power is doubled, and its toxicity is weakened, such as Xiaobanxia soup in "The Synopsis of the Golden Chamber".

For vomiting caused by accumulated heat in the stomach, this product should be compatible with Zhuru and Coptis chinensis, which are used to clear away heat and relieve stomach vomiting, such as Coptis chinensis, orange peel, Zhuru Pinellia soup.

For vomiting due to weak stomach qi, it can be used together with ginseng and honey that nourish the spleen and stomach, such as Da Banxia Tang.

For vomiting due to weakness of stomach yin, it should be compatible with Ophiopogon japonicus and Dendrobium, such as Banxia Jiayiwei Decoction.

Vomiting during pregnancy, it should be used with medicines such as Atractylodes macrocephala and Zhuru, which are used to invigorate the spleen and replenish qi, and strengthen the fetus.

Pinellia is better for drying dampness, ginger Pinellia is longer than Jiangni to relieve vomiting, Pinellia is longer than phlegm and dissipating food, Zhuli Pinellia is longer than heat-clearing and phlegm, raw Pinellia is only suitable for external use.

Shedding phlegm to relieve cough and asthma

Shegan, specializing in detoxification and throat. To treat exogenous wind-heat, dumb cough, swelling and sore throat, I often use the Shegan disinfectant drink in "Zhang's Yitong". Prescriptions: Shegan, Shandougen, Nepeta, Parsnip, Platycodon grandiflorum, licorice, silkworm, mint (after Bottom) 10 grams each, 15 grams each of red peony root, Guiwei, and Shanzhi each, decocted in water, 1 dose a day, 2 divided doses. This prescription has the effects of clearing heat and wind, detoxification and swelling, and is used for the treatment of sore throat with good effect.

Shegan is longer than phlegm, can relieve cough and relieve asthma. For the treatment of phlegm-drinking asthma, I often use Shegan Pills in the "Sanji General Record". Recipe with Shegan, Pinellia (washed in soup 10 times, fried dry), dried ginger (cracked), coltsfoot flower (removed the calyx, dried), honey locust (peeled, broiled), orange peel (soaked in soup, removed white , Baking), baibu (drying), schisandra (picking clean), asarum (removing the seedling leaves, fritillary (removing the heart, frying to make it slightly yellow), white tuckahoe (removing the black skin), Yu Liren (decoction, leaving The skin-tip double-ren, yanruzhi) 30g each. A total of fine powder, refined honey into pills, each pill weighs 9 grams, taken 3 times a day, 1 pill each time.

The clinical theory of Zhang Deying's "phlegm syndrome" test

"The plaster has a thick flavor and produces turbid phlegm." Nowadays, people's desires are hard to calm, partial food is fat and sweet, lack of exercise, phlegm stagnation is endogenous, so "phlegm syndrome" is more common. Professor Zhang Deying of Hebei College of Traditional Chinese Medicine, published the ancient meaning of the emperor, wrote "Sputum Syndrome", and established the theory of "spleen spleen", which has been clinically tested and has quite a curative effect. The author briefly describes his theory as follows.

Zhang Deying believes that, first of all, all human body water is transformed into gluten, which is sticky, turbid, or filthy like porridge, and those who have blockage and obstruction are all phlegm in the broad sense. Such as cough and vomiting of tangible phlegm, tuberculosis abscess, excess cholesterol in blood vessels, acne, lipoma, etc.

Secondly, since ancient times, it has been said that "the spleen has no evidence" is wrong. "Su Wen" has "the rule of the five elements, each has too little." That is, if there are all the five elements, there is too little, and too much is true. In terms of heaven and earth, in the long summer season, the rain is sluggish and endless, is it not too much of the earth? In terms of human beings, the spleen governs the flesh, and the thick taste of the ointment can result in pot-bellied stools, plump body, and even fleshy flesh. Isn't this a proof of the spleen?

"Suwen·Jade Machine Zhenzang Theory" "The spleen soil is lonely, and the middle soil is used to fill the surroundings. What is the disease like if it is too much or not?" Qi Bo said: "Too much makes the limbs not lifted." "Spleen is solid." "Lingshu·Meridian" says: "The pulse of the spleen and the feet of the taiyin... "Lingshu·Benshen" "The spleen hides the camp, the camp is intended, the limbs are not used when the spleen-qi is weak, the five internal organs are disturbed, but the abdominal distension is actually unfavorable."

Thirdly, phlegm is originally a yin evil, blocking the Qi mechanism, stagnation for a long time and transforming fire, and it becomes phlegm fire. Therefore, phlegm syndrome has the difference of phlegm turbidity and phlegm fire; , The two phlegm scorched burnt.

    Phlegm blocking, blinding Qi

One is the turbid phlegm stagnating in the middle soil. It can be seen that the abdominal distension, anorexia, belching, vomiting, abdomen defecation, sticky stools, sticky mouth, heavy sputum, greasy moss, solid and slippery pulse, etc.; cure the soil Reduce turbidity, mediate the middle coke, open the middle coke and congestion, restore the rise and fall of the spleen and stomach. So Jiao Shenqu, Huoxiang, Shichangpu, Betel Nut, Fangji, Glauber's salt and other native medicine are used.

The second is turbid phlegm insulting the wood, the order of the development of wood is not good, and it can be seen that depression, good rest, dreams, flank pain, postmenstrual errors, sore legs and knees, sticky stool, dripping urine, dry eyes, head covering Undecided, greasy tongue coating. Treat it with the complex wood soil, promote it to Yimu, and restore its duty of dredging. The medicine is raw malt, Yinchen, Bupleurum, Caulis spatholobi, Albizia julibrissin, Yejiao vine, Zhuru, etc.

Third, turbid phlegm hinders gold, Jinjiang is blocked, Xuanjiang's qi is not good, cough, spitting, pharyngeal blockage, shortness of breath, chest tightness, nasal congestion, hoarseness, and poor stools can be seen. Cure dry soil to produce gold, clear down lung gold, and restore its post. The medicine is mulberry leaf, perilla leaf, platycodon, pinellia, melon, zhebei and so on.

The fourth is turbid phlegm, unclear fire, chest tightness, heart palpitations, back pain, strong tongue, greasy moss, and irregular pulse; similar to atherosclerosis, coronary heart disease, angina pectoris, cerebral infarction, Cardiovascular diseases such as cerebral hemorrhage, hyperlipidemia, and hypertension. Governance is the law of turning the earth into turbidity by Xiezi to restore the monarch's mind. The medicine is earthworm, spatholobi, calamus, cassia twig, red peony, tricornis, turmeric, etc.

Fifth, the muddy phlegm takes the water, and the dirty water is controlled, and the order of weighing is not enough. Symptoms include sore waist and legs, poor bowel movements, irregular menstruation, infertility in women, infertility in men, forgetfulness, head covering, tinnitus, emotional instability and impermanence; the back of the tongue is greasy and the ulnar pulse is weak. The medicine is yam, Ligustrum lucidum, Chushi seed, Cassia seed, and fried radish seed.

The above separately discusses that phlegm turbidity harms the five internal organs, but it must be added at the time of clinical diagnosis; phlegm turbidity is a variety of diseases and needs to be reviewed in detail. Zhang Deying used the five elements flexibly in his treatment based on syndrome differentiation. If phlegm was born in the middle soil and insulted to the wood, the wood would be complex to treat the soil, and both internal organs would be adjusted. Phlegm wounds water by multiplying gold, cure dry soil to produce gold, and gold produces water, the three internal organs of homeland gold and water are treated.

    Phlegm burns, draining body fluid

Obstruction of phlegm, poor qi, stagnation for a long time to turn fire. The cause can be Yang Sheng physique, phlegm is phlegm fire; it can also eat fat, sweet and hot products, which can transform phlegm fire; it can also be complicated, qi stagnation and body fluid condense into phlegm, qi stagnation and fire. And for phlegm fire.

One is phlegm fire burns Zhongtu, symptoms include burning in the stomach and abdomen, fear of eating cold, constipation, acne, and greasy face.

The second is the hyperactivity of phlegm and fire, which can be caused by phlegm-stagnation and wood to turn fire. Symptoms are irritability, dreaminess, early menstruation, swelling and pain in the ribs and hypoches, breast tenderness, dizziness, bitter mouth, and astringent eyes.

The third is phlegm fire burns the lungs, coughing, thirst, thick and yellow phlegm, fire incurs wind and easy colds, chest tightness, and nasal cavity.

The fourth is solid phlegm and fire, red tongue, heart palpitations, cardiovascular diseases such as high blood pressure, high blood lipids, coronary heart disease, mental diseases such as delirium, pulse number, red tongue, yellow greasy coating.

The fifth is phlegm fire injures water, the fifth is upset and hot, yin deficiency and night sweats, and the aforementioned symptoms of water deficiency.

Phlegm and fire are burnt, and many internal organs are often violated. The treatment is always to clear the middle-scorched phlegm, cool down the lungs, and produce water. The medicine is mostly used to cool down and reduce evacuation, and dry soil produces gold. To clear away phlegm and fire, use melon, fritillaria, wax gourd skin, white fresh skin, big green leaves, and Patriniacea. Gold produces water, and the raw water uses han wood to extinguish fire, and most of them use Adenophora, Ophiopogon, Paeon, Dendrobium, Zhimu, etc. Phlegm fire induces mukang, solid, cures phlegm fire, plain wood cools the heart, scutellaria, bamboo ru, perilla wood, spatholobi, etc.

Treating cough with phlegm stagnation and lung heat with proven prescription of aristolochia

Aristolochia, also known as Aristolochia and Aristolochia, is the dry and mature fruit of Aristolochia or Aristolochia of the Aristolochiaceae family. It is named for its mature fruit like a bell hanging under the neck of a horse . It is slightly cold in nature and bitter in taste. It has the effects of clearing lungs and lowering qi, relieving cough and asthma, clearing intestines and eliminating hemorrhoids. It is often used to treat lung heat, asthma and cough, blood in sputum, intestinal heat, hemorrhoids and blood, hemorrhoids, swelling and pain.

Commonly used prescriptions are: (1) Stagnation and cough: Aristolochia, ephedra (de-joint), schisandra (fried), licorice (roasted) 30 grams each, pounded into coarse powder, 9 grams per serving, add a little sugar, decoct in warm water (2) Lung-heat cough, shortness of breath: 7 pieces of aristolochia, 90 grams of mulberry bark, 60 grams of roasted licorice, 30 grams of cohosh, a small bunch of wick, a total of 9 grams per serving, Take it with warm water, 3 times a day; (3) Treat chronic cough: 15 grams of aristolochia, 6 grams of tuber frost, 3 grams of schisandra, after frying, the total is fine, 3 grams per serving, boiling water after breakfast and dinner Delivery service; (4) Scrofula: 9 grams each of Aristolochia and Huaishengdi, 3 grams of raw licorice, 4.5 grams each of Poria, Mutong, and Rush, decocted in water; (5) Scrofula will last for a long time: Aristolochia 9 grams of bells, 6 grams of Angelica sinensis, Radix Rehmanniae, and Moutan Cortex, decocted in water, 1 dose a day; (6) Biyuan: 15 grams of Aristolochia, 9 grams of Ephedra, 3 grams of Schisandra and Licorice each, plus a little black sugar Decoction in water, warm while lying down.

It should be noted that in recent years, there have been clinical reports that taking traditional Chinese medicines containing aristolochic acid can cause kidney damage and cause acute or chronic tubular interstitial disease, which is called aristolochic acid nephropathy. Therefore, when using aristolochia and preparations containing aristolochia ingredients, you must be cautious. Once renal damage such as oliguria and proteinuria occurs, you should stop the medication immediately and seek medical attention as soon as possible.

Zhang Zhongjing's phlegm drink with dried ginger and asarum schisandra

The basic principle of medical sage Zhang Zhongjing's treatment of phlegm drink is that "sick phlegm drinkers should be treated with warm medicine." He used dried ginger, asarum, and schisandra in combination to embody this principle. The three medicines warm into the lungs uniformly, dried ginger, asarum warms the lungs and reduces phlegm, and schisandra condenses lung qi.

The combination of the three medicines, dispersing and receiving, and receiving disperse, synergize and restrict each other, which embodies the meaning of "warm medicine and harmony". Xiaoqinglong Decoction, Linggan Wuwei Jiangxin Decoction, Houpu Mahuang Decoction and other decoctions are all based on this to warm up phlegm. The clinical evidence is indeed effective.

Drinking outside cold inside, drinking stops in the lungs, Xiaoqinglong Decoction is a definite prescription. The water stops the heart, the water breathes the heart, the chest and flanks are full, the dizziness and palpitation, Lingguishugan decoction warms the yang and strengthens the heart, strengthens the spleen and transforms the drink. However, when certain cold drinks for heart disease are flooded, the prescription is still difficult to take effect. Every time you add dried ginger, asarum, and schisandra, it often drinks evil and warms up your heart disease.

"The spleen is the source of phlegm." For some chronic cardiopulmonary diseases, Liujunzi Decoction can be cured, but ginger, pungent, and flavor are required to be effective. Cold drink is in the liver, and its symptoms are vomiting, coughing, and salivation without asthma. This liver cold injures the stomach and shoots the lungs. Every time the evodia decoction is added with ginger, pungent, flavor and pinellia, it can often be effective.

Cough and asthma caused by cold drink in the kidney are more common in elderly patients, phlegm and salivation are extremely high, the tongue is reflected in the light red, it is the illusion that the lower Jiaohan drink will stop, and the deficiency of Yang will rise. With the reduction of phlegm, the cough and wheezing will calm down and the tongue quality will turn from red to pale.

There is another type of yang deficiency, phlegm and asthma, phlegm drink is not as good as Zhenwu decoction syndrome, but kidney yang deficiency, waist and knees are sore and cold, it is appropriate to nourish the kidney and resolve phlegm, and every yang and decoction plus ginger, pungent and flavor can be used to treat it, and the effect is good.

There are many clinical cases of patients with yin deficiency and water becoming phlegm. The red tongue and pulse count are due to kidney yin deficiency, coughing and dyspnea, phlegm and saliva clearing, and the amount of phlegm and saliva clearing is mostly caused by the flood of drinking evil. The pungent, flavor, re-use of rehmannia to nourish the kidney yin, its effect is very good, but if not added, the effect will be greatly reduced.

In addition, there are more phlegm and asthma of the deficiency of both the heart, lung and spleen, yin and yang, the disease involves multiple internal organs, the yin and yang are mixed, the cold and heat are mixed, the deficiency and the actual are mutually seen, the symptoms are cough, asthma and phlegm, especially when moving; sweating, palpitation, and cyanosis of the lips; See thirst without drinking, lack of fluid in the lips and tongue; in the middle of the stomach, fullness of the stomach and sluggish appetite; below, the lower back and knees are sore and cold, the urine is long, the tongue is dark red with little coating, and the pulse is thin and rapid.

There are deficiency and heat at the top, deficiency and cold at the bottom, failure of the lungs, failure of the spleen, failure of the kidneys to receive qi, failure of the heart and kidneys, and phlegm to drink. It is the critical stage of the development of certain cardiopulmonary diseases to the late stage. "Feng's Tips" Quanzhen Yiqi Decoction plus ginger and Xin (the original recipe has Schisandra) can often relieve the condition. (Jia Peiyan)

Recipe for Treating Long Cough with Phlegm Stasis and Lung

Luo Mouchun, male, 39 years old. First visit on July 5, 2013.

The patient was normally healthy. On his way home on a motorcycle more than a year ago, he was hit by heavy rain and hail. He inhaled cold air and was wet with ice and rain. I started to have cough, less sputum, and runny nose after I went home. I thought I was catching a cold. I bought compound paracetamol and alkanamine capsules for treatment. The rest of the symptoms were eliminated. Only when the cough was used, it could not be completely eliminated. Heal. One month ago, I went to a tertiary hospital to pass lung CT and blood tests, but no substantial lesions were found. After symptomatic treatment is invalid, come to see a doctor.

Diagnosis: body fat, cough from time to time, less white and sticky sputum, night coughing aggravated, especially in the middle of the night and weather changes, no chest tightness, no sweating, fat tongue, petechiae, astringent pulse.

Syndrome differentiation: phlegm and blood stasis offend the lungs.

Prescription: 15 grams of Salvia miltiorrhiza, 15 grams of hawthorn, 10 grams of windproof, 10 grams of mulberry bark, 10 grams of Fritillaria, 10 grams of Sanyu charcoal, 10 grams of Poria cocos, 3 grams of licorice, decocted in water, 1 dose per day, rice Warm clothes afterwards. Non-smoking alcohol, foods that are fat, sweet and greasy. After taking 3 doses, the number of coughs was significantly reduced. After 7 doses, only occasional cough at night. After 2 weeks, all the symptoms were cured. There was no recurrence during the follow-up for half a year.

Note: In this case, the cough was caused by sudden cold and stasis blocking lung qi. Former doctors mostly used the treatment of lung injury such as wind-cold and wind-dryness, with little effect. The patient is usually obese, has excessive phlegm, suddenly feels cold and wind pathogens, and suddenly feels cold pathogens in hot weather, it really means "sensing the qi at the time", resulting in cold qi stasis blocking the lungs, and the lung qi is not announced. cough. Salvia miltiorrhiza contains tanshinone, which is a powerful meridian, which has the effects of removing blood stasis, promoting new growth, promoting blood circulation, and regulating menstruation. "Rihuazi's Materia Medica" contains: "Nourish the mind and set the mind, clear the pulse. Treat cold and heat...breaking blood..." It is an essential medicine for removing blood stasis and not hurting righteousness, plus windproof , Sangbaipi, Zhe Fritillaria, Diyu Charcoal, etc. have the effects of dispelling blood stasis and removing turbidity, dispelling wind and relieving cough, etc., and it has good effect on the pathogenesis.

Decoction in water, one dose a day, divided into 3 servings, 7 days for a course of treatment, medication for 1 to 3 courses.

Note: Plum nuclear qi is mostly thought to be caused by stagnation of phlegm qi, and the treatment is mostly to regulate qi and dissipate phlegm, with Banxia Houpu decoction. This prescription is based on the mutual conclusion of phlegm and blood stasis, and it is better to promote blood circulation and dissipate blood stasis than simply regulating qi and resolving phlegm. A total of 16 cases were treated effectively.

Chen Guigui's treatment of cough, clearing away heat and phlegm

The disease of cough can be divided into external feeling and internal injury. Lungs are "splendid viscera", so they are susceptible to wind in spring, heat in summer, dryness in autumn, and coldness in winter. There are also people who feel both, such as wind chill and wind dryness. Inside, there are lung diseases, injuries from seven emotions, and other internal organs. The pathogenesis is all due to the failure of the lung to declare and descend, and the lung qi to reverse. If the rule of law is solid, it is better to clear or disperse, and if it is deficiencies, it is better to make up and condense; if there are both solid and fictitious, then clear (or disperse) to replenish (or condense) and apply. In specific treatment, exogenous patients should relieve wind, relieve fever, moisturize dryness, and dispel cold. For internal injuries, treat their internal organs, adjust their emotions, and treat other internal organs, etc., according to the specific condition of the disease.

Chen Baogui treats coughs, pays attention to the propagation of lung qi and the tonifying of airway. Regardless of external or internal injuries, the products for promoting lungs are commonly used in ephedra, platycodon, sesame leaves, etc.; medicines for lowering the lungs, commonly used are almonds, Qianhu, Suzi, Tinglizi, etc; On the basis of the prescription, products for clearing the throat and relieving the throat, such as Shandougen, Radix Isatidis, Yuanshen, Burdock Seed, etc. are added. According to the specific situation, Xuanjiang and Xuanjiang should be used in the clinical trial; for the deficient syndrome, the astringent medicine should be added to Xuanjiangji. In short, the treatment of cough is focused on Xuanjiang, except for Xuanjiang, follow the symptoms. The following are three medical records for reference:

Case 1 Method of clearing heat and phlegm, clearing throat and throat

Li, male, 21 years old, was diagnosed on November 16, 2011.

Second visit: After the medicine, the cough and itching of the throat alleviated, and he took another 10 doses and healed.

Note: The diagnosis of laryngogenic cough is a dry and itchy throat that causes a sudden cough. This disease is preceded by an itchy throat, accompanied by a dry cough, most of which have a history of exogenous infections. Generally, there is no positive sign on lung examination. This case belongs to the scope of this type of disease from the analysis of symptoms. For laryngogenic cough caused by heat toxin attack, Chen Guigui often uses the prescription as the basic prescription for addition and subtraction treatment, and the effect is very good. In the upper part, ephedra and almonds are used together to relieve cough; Zhebei, Qianhu, and tangerine peel are used to relieve cough and reduce phlegm; Yuan ginseng, peppermint, shegan, clearing away heat and toxic substances; The patient took more than 10 doses of this prescription and recovered.

In addition, Zhebei's "Materia Medica Justice" contains: "The most phlegm-reducing qi, good at opening stagnation...Cure throat numbness", so it can be used for laryngeal cough. Zhebei is also good at clearing stomach heat and suppressing acid. Chen Guigui often used this medicine in the treatment of acid reflux in gastric disease, and it also achieved good results.

Professor Huang Wenzheng from the First Affiliated Hospital of Tianjin Traditional Chinese Medicine, as a friend of the teacher, introduced an experience prescription for treating laryngogenic cough. The prescriptions are ephedra, almonds, licorice, cicada slough, rigid silkworm, shegan, puffball, mint, platycodon, praeruptorum, wood butterfly . He said that this prescription is effective for treating cough caused by larynx. From the analysis of prescriptions, the intentions of the two prescriptions are the same, but the medications are slightly different, which can be used as a reference.

Li Qiyi's treatment of coronary heart disease and hypertension from phlegm and blood stasis

For example, the pathogenesis of coronary heart disease and anemic heart disease are both qi and blood deficiency, qi stagnation and blood stasis, but the former is more common with qi deficiency and blood stasis. The prescriptions include Buyang Huanwu Decoction and Guanxin No. 2 prescription; the latter is more important For blood deficiency and qi stagnation, Siwu Decoction, Danshen Drink, etc. are selected. Another example is chronic rheumatic heart disease and chronic pulmonary heart disease, both of which belong to the pathogenesis of thoracic obstruction, loss of yang, phlegm and blood stasis. You can choose Gualou Xiebai Banxia Decoction and Taohong Decoction, but the former is based on the heart Mainly, blood stasis is emphasized, and Xuefu Zhuyu Decoction is often added; the latter is mainly for lungs and phlegm dampness, commonly used prescriptions such as Daotan Decoction, Tingli Dazao Xiefei Decoction.

Li Qiyi studied and summarized his experience of removing phlegm and blood stasis in treating difficult and complicated diseases during the period of studying under the master of Chinese medicine Zhou Zhongying. He systematically studied the theories of phlegm and blood stasis related to Chinese medicine. The aspects of stasis homology, phlegm and blood stasis, and phlegm and blood stasis are systematically sorted out, forming an academic view of treating phlegm and blood stasis and applying it in clinical practice for diagnosis and treatment of heart diseases.

On this basis, he focuses on viral myocarditis, coronary heart disease, hypertension, cardiomyopathy, heart failure and other diseases; and believes that the disease is mild or moderate, and only Chinese medicine can cure or alleviate the disease, even if it is critically ill. For patients, increasing the use of traditional Chinese medicine can also reduce the types, dosages, and side effects of western medicines, and improve the efficacy.

Treating Hypertension from Phlegm and Blood Stasis

Li Qiyi believes that essential hypertension has an insidious onset, a long course, complicated syndromes, and multiple organs. Although the pathogenesis is more common in liver-yang hyperactivity, liver-wind internal disturbance, liver and kidney deficiency, it also involves phlegm and blood stasis. Mutual knot.

Hypertension is often associated with bad habits such as addiction to food, fat, greasy, salty, excessive tobacco and alcohol, and low activity, as well as hyperlipidemia, obesity, diabetes and other diseases. Traditional Chinese medicine believes that the above factors often lead to the body's qi, blood and body fluid metabolism disorder, so that the stagnation of body fluid is phlegm, blood stagnation is stasis, and the pathogenesis of phlegm and blood stasis is formed.

Once phlegm and blood stasis occur, it is easy to interact with wind, yang, and fire, making the condition complicated and developing, and even dizziness can lead to severe and critical diseases such as chest pain, heartache, and stroke.

Therefore, in addition to the regular methods of treating hypertension in traditional Chinese medicine, such as calming the liver, dispelling wind, and nourishing yin, it should also pay attention to the use of phlegm softening, promoting blood circulation and removing blood stasis to increase the effect.

Li Qiyi treats hypertension from phlegm and blood stasis. Commonly used basic medicines for relieving phlegm and softening are: Pinellia, Araceae, Qingzhushi, White Mustard Seed, Oyster, Polygala, Stiff silkworm, Prunella vulgaris, etc.; Commonly used medicine for promoting blood circulation and removing blood stasis is Chuanxiong , Red peony root, salvia miltiorrhiza, paeonol, peach kernel, safflower, Achyranthes bidentata, Panax notoginseng, hematoxylin, motherwort, Eupatorium etc.

Treating Heart Failure from Phlegm and Blood Stasis

Li Qiyi has accumulated a wealth of clinical experience in the long-term clinical practice of Chinese medicine. Aiming at the disadvantages of applying warm and yang diuretic medicine in the treatment of heart failure, he believes that the commonly used methods of benefiting temperature and yang and promoting blood circulation should be supplemented and improved. This is to emphasize Deficiency of Qi, pay attention to Yin deficiency and phlegm blocking the pathogenesis.

He believes that there are three reasons for Yin deficiency: one is that the primary disease of heart failure is mostly hypertension, coronary heart disease, diabetes, etc., and the pathogenesis of these diseases is mostly yin deficiency; the second is qi deficiency and yin; the third is Over-use Wenyang products.

Phlegm includes tangible phlegm and invisible phlegm. The former is caused by coughing and vomiting. The latter has two causes: one is that heart failure is a refractory disease, which can be understood from "difficult and complicated diseases are mostly caused by phlegm"; The analysis of the tangible changes in the shape, quality, and volume of the heart during failure is attributed to the phlegm obstruction of Chinese medicine.

Based on the above understanding, Li Qiyi used the methods of replenishing qi and nourishing yang, nourishing yin and nourishing blood, promoting blood circulation and eliminating syndromes, and softening the strong and dispelling stagnation, and formulated the heart failure No.1. Its composition: raw astragalus, dogwood, Ophiopogon japonicus, seaweed, cassia twig, raw puhuang, Passepartout.

The prescription uses astragalus as the prime medicine for invigorating qi, in which the burned astragalus is partial to nourish qi, and the production of astragalus is partial to diuresis. The two are used together in large quantities, and have the effects of nourishing qi, nourishing the heart, promoting hydration and reducing swelling; ; Dogwood and Ophiopogon are both minister medicines, which can nourish the yin and support the yang, converge the dissipated heart energy, and can make the Qi of the three burns permanent; raw puhuang promotes blood and removes blood stasis, relieves water and reduces swelling; Broad qi, promoting blood circulation, dredging collaterals and diuresis; seaweed is salty and cold, resolving phlegm, softening and distilling water. It is the same adjuvant with Puhuang and Passepartout. The three medicines are mainly used to cure each other and help each other. When combined, the effect of promoting blood circulation, resolving phlegm and diuresis is doubled; Zhiheying Tongyang transforms qi and water to make medicine.

Looking at the 7 herbs in all prescriptions, the monarchs and ministers are advisers, the primary and secondary are clearly distinguished, rigorous and orderly, and the pathogenesis of heart failure is very important. Clinical studies have shown that after 4 weeks of treatment, the Xinshuai No. 1 prescription improves the clinical symptoms and signs of the patient, which is equivalent to the western medicine group alone, and is better than the western medicine group after 24 weeks; this medicine can also improve the left ventricular ejection fraction and "New York heart function" The overall effective rate for the treatment of heart failure is 66.07%, such as improving the 6-minute walk test and lowering plasma atrial natriuretic peptide levels.

Treating Coronary Heart Disease from Phlegm and Blood Stasis

Li Qiyi believes that coronary heart disease is mostly due to the deficiency of the essence and the deficiency of the qi, blood, yin, and Yang; the signs of the deficiency are blood stasis, phlegm, cold coagulation, and qi stagnation, and the deficiency of both Qi and Yin and Qi Phlegm stagnation and blood stasis are the most common, and multiple specimens are considered in treatment. Based on a large number of literature and clinical experience, he explored and summarized the traditional Chinese medicine compound preparation "Guanxinping".

The prescription is composed of 5 herbs: Polygonatum, Angelica, Panax notoginseng, Gualoupi, and Gansong. The formula of Polygonatum replenishes qi and nourishes yin and nourishes the heart and lungs. It is a noble medicine, because the basic pathogenesis of coronary heart disease is deficiency and excess. The main deficiency is mainly due to the deficiency of Qi and Yin; Angelica nourishes blood and activates blood, nourishes the middle and has the action, but not stagnates; Panax notoginseng promotes blood circulation to remove blood stasis and promotes the pulse, which is a ministerial medicine; It is an adjuvant; Gansong regulates qi and relieves pain, which can cure "surgery and abdominal pain". It is to make medicine.

In the Chen Zuozhu medicine, except for Angelica sinensis, which also has the function of nourishing yin and nourishing yin and helping Huangjing to strengthen the body, the others are all designed for the signs of coronary heart disease (blood stasis, phlegm coagulation, qi stagnation), because blood stasis is used in the three It is heavy, so the medication is quite heavy. A comprehensive view of the whole prescription, both attacking and supplementing, taking into account the specimens, choosing the medicine to be gentle in nature, not warm or dry, which is very suitable for the key to the pathogenesis of coronary heart disease.

Clinical studies have shown that Guanxinping has an effective rate of 93.33% for stable angina with deficiency of both qi and yin and mutual obstruction of phlegm and blood stasis. It can also be used as an auxiliary drug for myocardial infarction to relieve the patient's condition and improve the prognosis.

Cold, cough, phlegm, Chinese medicine coltsfoot flower

Colds and coughs When people are busy preparing for the New Year, they often come to harass them. For coughs caused by cold, they have phlegm. Chinese medicine coltsfoot can help you.

Coltsfoot, the flower buds of coltsfoot, a perennial herbaceous plant in the Compositae family, is referred to as winter flower. As the name suggests, it is named after the "first leaves bloom" in winter. Just as the Ming Dynasty pharmacist Li Shizhen’s "Compendium of Materia Medica" said, "...the one who has the money, the flower is in the winter", so it is called the coltsfoot flower.

Chinese medicine believes that Coltsfoot is pungent and warm in nature, enters the lung meridian, has the effect of moisturizing the lungs and lowering the qi, relieving cough and resolving phlegm. This product is pungent and moisturizing, warm but not dry. It is a good medicine for nourishing the lungs, relieving cough and resolving phlegm. Coughing and wheezing. It can be used regardless of exogenous, internal injuries, coughs, cold coughs, and hot coughs, so it is known as an important medicine for coughing, but it is warm in nature and is most suitable for cough and asthma due to cold lungs and phlegm. "Ben Jing Feng Yuan" said it "moistens the lungs and eliminates phlegm, relieves cough and relieves asthma". Its nature is pungent, sweet, warm and calm, enters the lungs through the qi, and is a good medicine for nourishing the lungs, resolving phlegm and stopping cough. It is characterized by being warm but not hot, pungent but not dry, sweet but not stagnant. It can be applied to any cough regardless of external feelings, internal injuries, cold and heat deficiency. It is especially suitable for coughs with chronic lung deficiency and excessive lung cold and phlegm. Winter flowers are often used after honey roasting, called Zhidonghua, to enhance lungs, relieve cough and relieve asthma. Clinically, coltsfoot flower is often compatible with other drugs to enhance the efficacy. For example, coltsfoot flower is mainly used to relieve cough, and aster is mainly used to eliminate phlegm. In the cough relieving prescription, the two drugs are often used in combination, which has the effect of reducing phlegm and relieving cough; Suzi is called coltsfoot Decoction for treating phlegm, cough, asthma and symptoms that occur when cold is very effective. In the folks, Donghua is often used in combination with Anemarrhena and Fritillaria to treat chronic cough. Butterflies, it is a proverb. Pharmacological studies have shown that winter flower contains coltsfoot glycol, arnica glycol, dandelion yellow pigment, tannin, volatile oil, triterpene saponins, rutin and other ingredients. Three recipes for relieving cough and porridge are now introduced for selection.

Coltsfoot porridge: 10 grams of coltsfoot, 100 grams of rice, appropriate amount of sugar. Put the coltsfoot flower into the medicine pot, soak for 5-10 minutes, decoct the juice, increase the rice and cook the porridge, add sugar when it is cooked, and boil it once or twice, and serve once a day. It can moisten the lungs and relieve cough. Suitable for a variety of coughs and asthma.

Winter flower mochi porridge: 6 grams each of coltsfoot, ephedra and almonds, 30 grams of rice, and appropriate amount of sugar. Clean the coltsfoot flower, put it in a medicine pot, add an appropriate amount of water, soak for 5-10 minutes, decoct the juice, increase the rice to cook the porridge, add sugar when it is cooked, and boil it once or twice. 1 dose a day. It can nourish yin and clear lungs, relieve cough and resolve phlegm. Suitable for pulmonary tuberculosis, old chronic bronchitis, low fever and sweating after pneumonia, pink or flushing of the lips, less dry cough and sputum, peeling or dry tongue coating, red dry tongue, thin pulse, etc.

The method of invigorating the spleen, resolving phlegm, relieving cough and reducing asthma

To invigorate the spleen, resolve phlegm, relieve cough and relieve asthma

Liu Mou, male, 2 years old, was diagnosed on April 5, 2000.

After catching the cold, the cough continued, and the treatment did not improve. Please be hospitalized for consultation. Present symptoms: coughing, wheezing, phlegm and screaming at night, sometimes vomiting, loose stools, frequent, white fur, slightly red tongue, slippery pulse. Western medicine diagnosed pneumonia. Chinese medicine diagnosis is: cough and asthma.

Symptoms: phlegm accumulates in the lungs and spleen, and the lungs are lost.

Cure to: invigorate the spleen and resolve phlegm, relieve cough and relieve asthma.

Prescription: 3 grams of Pinellia ternata, 3 grams of tangerine peel, 5 grams of Poria, 1 grams of Ephedra, 3 grams of almonds, 3 grams of Amomum, 3 grams of Atractylodes. 2 doses, decocted in 100 ml of water, 3 times in the morning, midnight and evening, 1 dose per day.

Second visit (April 7): Phlegm decreased, vomiting stopped, stools were normal, cough and wheezing still remained. Take 3 grams of thickened pea from the top, and take another 2 doses.

Third visit (April 9): Cough and asthma were greatly reduced, and another 2 doses were taken.

    Healed after medicine.

Enter the lungs according to cold pathogens, the lung qi cannot be released, so cough and asthma are seen; spleen deficiency produces phlegm, which accumulates in the lungs, so more phlegm is seen; spleen and stomach are insufficiency and cold, rising and falling disorders, visible vomiting, loose stools; Still feet; white fur and slippery pulse are signs of phlegm and dampness. According to the syndrome differentiation of tongue and pulse syndrome, phlegm accumulates in the lungs and spleen, and the lack of lungs is the syndrome. Therefore, the main treatment is to invigorate the spleen and resolve phlegm, relieve cough and relieve asthma. In the upper part, ephedra and almonds are used to promote lung qi; Amomum villosum to wake up the spleen and stomach; atractylodes, pinellia, tangerine peel, tuckahoe to invigorate the spleen and reduce phlegm, and pinellia can also reduce the adverse effect and stop vomiting. At the second visit, there was still cough and asthma, so the thick pock lowered the lung and stomach qi. The medicine has a good effect on the disease and syndrome, and the patient only takes 6 doses and heals. In addition, the above can be regarded as the addition and subtraction of Erchentang and Sanaotang.

Case Four Therapy of Clearing Heat and Resolving Phlegm, Promoting Lung and Relieving Asthma, Gan-Cold and Nourishing Yin

Wang, male, 5 years old, was diagnosed on May 16, 2006.

Internal medicine, please consult: the main reason is "coughing for 10 days and getting worse for 3 days". Present symptoms: cough and asthma, little sputum, fever, body temperature: 39.1℃, thirst, red tongue, less fluid, slippery pulse. A small amount of phlegm sounds on auscultation of the lungs, and mild facial hypoxia. Routine blood examination showed: white blood cells 12.06×109/L, neutrophil percentage: 81.3%. Chest X-ray prompts: right pneumonia. Western medicine diagnosed pneumonia in children. Chinese medicine diagnosed as cough and asthma.

Symptoms: phlegm-heat accumulates in the lung, lung-qi stagnation, heat evil injures yin.

Cure by: clearing away heat and removing phlegm, promoting lung and relieving asthma, and nourishing yin by sweetening cold.

Prescription: 3 grams of ephedra, 6 grams of almonds, 12 grams of gypsum, 3 grams of licorice, 5 grams of Adenophora, 5 grams of Ophiopogon japonicus, 5 grams of pollen, 5 grams of Chinese yam, 5 grams of zhebei, 5 grams of Tianzhuhuang, 10 grams of honeysuckle. Decoct 150 ml in water, take 3 times in the morning, midnight and evening, and take 2 doses.

Second visit (May 18): mild cough and asthma, fever decreased, body temperature: 37.8℃. Take 2 more doses.

The third visit (May 20): No obvious cough and asthma, no fever, and tongue turning. Two more doses were taken.

    Healed after medicine.

According to the exogenous pathogens, it enters the inside to dissipate heat, and the heat accumulates in the lungs, and the lungs are stagnated, so cough and asthma are seen, and there is less phlegm. Evil heat fills the inside and outside, so fever is seen. Heat damages the yin, so the tongue is red and less fluid. Slippery pulse is a sign of phlegm heat. According to the syndrome differentiation of tongue and pulse syndrome, phlegm-heat accumulates in the lung, lung-qi stagnation, and heat evil injures Yin. Therefore, the main methods are heat-clearing and phlegm-resolving, lung-releasing and asthma-regulating, and cold-sweet and yin-nourishing. For the prescription, Maxing Shigan Decoction and Shashen Ophiopogon Decoction are used. The ephedra and almonds in the upper part can relieve cough and asthma, and the small amount of ephedra can only be used for the purpose of promoting the lung; the larger amount of plaster can clear the lung heat and produce body fluid; Yinhua has the effect of reducing fever; Adenophora, Ophiopogon japonicus, and pollen are sweet and cold to nourish yin; Zhebei and Tianzhuhuang clear heat and reduce phlegm; Chinese yam and licorice protect stomach qi. The card is correct and the medicine is correct, so the disease is reduced after one visit, and after a total of 6 doses, the disease is cured.

Cases of Liu Baohe Treating Children's Sputum Cough

Liu Baohe is a professor at Hebei College of Traditional Chinese Medicine and studied under the famous doctor Yin Huihe. He has been engaged in clinical and teaching work for more than 40 years. He is clinically good at inquiring and grasping the main symptoms, frequently suffering from ills, and often surprisingly successful in treating difficult diseases. The author followed up with Professor Liu Baohe. Now his experience in diagnosis and treatment of pediatrics is summarized as follows.

Liu Baohe's clinical treatment attaches great importance to the conditioning of the body's qi, and the same is true for the treatment of pediatric diseases. The core treatment principle is to relieve the Qi of the lungs and stomach and restore the mechanism of Yin and Yang. Why emphasize Tongjiang Lung Stomach? This is mainly due to how many children have internal fever now. In modern society, the material is rich, mostly with the thick flavor of the ointment, and the pungent simmering; it will be over-raised, with more temperature and less cold. In such an environment, parents and children raised by them, internal heat abound. As soon as the Qi of the lungs and stomach passes, the Qi of Golden Autumn will drop, and the evil of internal heat will disappear immediately. Here are a few medical records to illustrate.

    Expectoration case

Case 1: Jia, female, 5 years old, first diagnosed on August 23, 2013.

He complained of cough and sputum for a week, and yellow discharge in his nose. Phlegm sounds can be heard when sleeping soundly. Red tongue, slippery pulse

Liu Baohe prescription "Thousand Golds" Reed Stem Soup: 10 grams of reed root, 10 grams of coix seed, 10 grams of winter melon seed, and 3 grams of peach seed. 4 servings, decocted in water, one dose per day.

Second visit on August 27, 2013: A total of 4 servings were taken from the top. After taking the second serving, the phlegm sound disappeared during sleep sounding. All symptoms are eliminated.

According to "Thousand Golds", Wei stem soup is a prescription for clearing lung heat and lowering lung qi. The main symptom is phlegm in the pharynx, unfavorable coughing, and even chest pain due to coughing. It is especially suitable for children with yellow phlegm and yellow nose. However, this prescription has fewer drugs and a mild temperament, and its effectiveness in clearing away heat and resolving phlegm is less. It can be used in clinics according to the child's condition.

Case 2: Zhang, male, 4 years old, first diagnosed on 20th, 2013. I caught a cold 10 days ago, coughing, phlegm in my throat, sneezing, runny nose, nasal congestion, and no discomfort in my throat. The tip of the tongue is red and the pulse is slippery.

Prescription: Reed root 10g, Coix seed 10g, Winter melon kernel 10g, Peach kernel 3g, Almond 3g, Platycodon 3g, Peucedanum 3g, Dabei 3g, Mulberry 3g, Uncaria 3g. 4 servings, decocted in water, one dose per day.

The second visit on March 24, 2013: The cough was nearly healed, only one or two occasional coughs. After taking the top 5 service, healed.

According to this, the child had difficulty in expressing phlegm in his throat due to exogenous feelings. Teacher Liu prescribed reed stem soup, but because the child had symptoms of sneezing, nasal discharge, and nasal congestion, Liu Baohe’s foundation Almonds, Platycodon grandiflorum, Peucedanum, big scallops, mulberry leaves are added to relieve phlegm and relieve the appearance of lung qi. As for Uncaria, it is used to calm the children because they are impatient and irritable.

Phlegm comes from the expectorant method of wet Chinese medicine

As a pathogenic factor, sputum is a pathological product formed by condensing and condensing the essence of water and valley. Its sex is thick and turbid, and the disease is widespread. Ancient people said that "all diseases are caused by phlegm" and "weird diseases are more phlegm". Therefore, physicians in the past dynasties paid great attention to the pathogenesis and treatment of sputum in the clinical process, and created many expectorant methods.

As far as the expectorant method is concerned, there are many descriptions in ancient medical books, such as resolving phlegm, eliminating phlegm, removing phlegm, guiding phlegm, rolling phlegm, dropping phlegm, robbing phlegm, introducing phlegm, dispelling phlegm, reaching phlegm, eliminating phlegm, and phlegm surge It can be described as colorful, intuitive and vivid. However, due to the lack of a clear definition of the meaning of most of these methods, it is difficult to accurately grasp the understanding and ambiguity in application, and sometimes it can be seen that the name does not match the reality.

For this reason, the "Dictionary of Traditional Chinese Medicine" made an explanation: "Expectant method, the method of eliminating phlegm. Differentiate phlegm, eliminate phlegm, and purify phlegm. According to the cause of phlegm, different treatment methods, or warming, or Clean up, or eliminate the cause of phlegm.” However, this explanation does not make the problem clear, and there are points that are debatable from its classification to interpretation.

It is generally believed that phlegm originates from dampness, and dampness is transported by the spleen, so the production of phlegm is most closely related to the spleen, and there is a saying that "spleen is the source of phlegm" ("Syndrome, Treatment and Replenishment"). Spleen deficiency produces phlegm". According to clinical observations, there is also a form of "spleen overloading and regenerating phlegm". The general process is: overeating, fat, sweet and thick taste, surpassing the spleen’s ability to transport and transform, causing it to stay and turn into phlegm. The lipids deposited in the internal organs, blood vessels or subcutaneous parts of hyperlipidemia associated with a high-fat diet are actually the sputum metabolized by the spleen being overloaded. In these two phlegm processes, the former belongs to absolute spleen deficiency and the latter belongs to relative spleen deficiency.

When phlegm is born, it can rise and fall with the Qi machine and become ubiquitous, which can cause many diseases, such as coughing and excessive phlegm due to phlegm in the lungs, dizziness and epilepsy due to phlegm in the heart orifice, epilepsy, and abdominal distension due to phlegm blocking the spleen and stomach. Foreign body sensation in the pharynx with stagnation of phlegm in the liver, choking in the chest with stagnant phlegm in the chest, scrofula and gallbladder tumors caused by phlegm and fire, numbness of limbs, hemiplegia, mouth and eyes caused by phlegm and fire Skewness, swelling, pain and deformation of the joints of the sputum retention limbs, etc. From the clinical situation, the existence of sputum mostly constitutes the pathological basis in the form of "sustaining sputum" and "suppressing sputum". Once the appropriate cause is encountered, the sputum remaining in the body can be touched and play a role in the pathological process.

The author believes that according to the production and trend of phlegm, the expectorant method has two forms, namely, dissolving in the body and removing it from the body, which can be referred to as phlegm removing and phlegm removing.

    Phlegm

Phlegm-resolving is a conventional or basic expectorant method adopted according to the cause and form of phlegm. For the treatment of sputum, the first consideration should be to resolve it according to the form of the sputum. Due to the tendency of phlegm to become cold and warm with the environment in the body, the commonly used methods of phlegm are also divided into two types: warming and clearing. The warmer is suitable for cold and wet phlegm, and the medicine is more pungent and warm, such as Pinellia, Araceae, Baiqian, white mustard seed, Suzi, tangerine peel, Magnolia officinalis, Atractylodes, Atractylodes, etc; For hot phlegm, medications are often bitter and cold, such as Fritillaria, Peucedanum, Tianzhuhuang, Gualou, Zhuru, Zhuli, etc. What is worth mentioning is Platycodon grandiflorum, which is bitter and pungent in nature, can raise and lower energy, and is good at promoting lung qi. "True Materia Medica" believes that it "is a medicine for raising lung qi. It can be used for various medicines. An agent for pain relief." Therefore, it can be used regardless of cold or hot phlegm.

Due to the phlegm formation process and the characteristics of the qi-blocking mechanism, the spleen-invigorating or qi-regulating method is often used when resolving phlegm. This is like Zhu Danxi said: "Treatment of phlegm, solid spleen soil, dry spleen dampness, is the root cause. "Wang Kentang said: "Those who are good at treating phlegm will treat qi without treating phlegm, and if qi is shun, the body fluid will follow the qi."

Dry phlegm is more common in the state of lung dryness and yin deficiency. The treatment should be used to moisturize the lungs and resolve phlegm. The medicines with this effect seem to only have two flavors of aster and coltsfoot. In fact, the combination of moisturizing and reducing phlegm can be used when formulating drugs. Ways to expand the scope of drug selection. The onset of wind phlegm is usually caused by the phlegm in the body being touched by the wind, and hemiplegia, crooked mouth and eyes or twitching of the limbs are seen when walking into the collaterals. Therefore, the medicine used to eliminate phlegm must also be able to travel through the meridians, such as Araceae, White Aconite, and Stiff Silkworm.

As for the phlegm produced by the overcharge of the spleen, the clinical symptoms can be eliminated by referring to the principle of the formation of food stagnation, which also belongs to the method of eliminating phlegm. This is like what the "Medical Enlightenment" puts it: "If you eliminate, get rid of the obstruction. There is nothing between the viscera, meridians, and muscles, but there is nothing between them. It must dissipate, but it will be flat." The treatment prescription is often selected. Bohe pills.
