A letter to postoperative patients
On the postoperative day, please follow the nurse’s diet, activities, and medication arrangements. This will not be repeated here; if you have dysuria, dizziness, nausea, fever, pain, insomnia and other discomforts, please inform the doctor or nurse in time;
It is recommended to defecate after 24 hours after surgery to avoid bleeding caused by premature defecation. If an anal drainage tube is placed, please follow the doctor's request to remove the drainage tube and then defecate, usually after 48 hours after surgery.
You can eat normally after 24 hours after surgery. It is recommended to be full of seven or eight, and increase the intake of protein and fiber, such as eggs, lean meat, yogurt, vegetables, fruits, sweet potatoes, and corn. Avoid spicy, irritating, beef and mutton, seafood, tobacco and alcohol.
For patients with normal bowel movements or constipation, the doctor will give intestinal laxatives (Chinese patent medicine or decoction) after the operation, and diarrhea patients will be given intestinal flora regulation drugs or intestinal antidiarrheal drugs. Defecation 1-2 times a day, or 1 defecation every 2 days. Shaped and soft stools are the most beneficial state for wound healing.
On the first day after the operation, we started to wet Chinese medicine, and the nurses will demonstrate the operation for the first time. Chinese medicine can also be used in a self-sit bath, usually 2-3 times a day after defecation, before dressing changes, and before going to bed. Wet compress: Use Chinese medicine to slightly warm to 40℃, pour about 50ml on cotton, and apply it around the anus for 10 minutes each time. Sit bath: Add about 2L of warm water to a bag of Chinese medicine, and soak the anus in the medicine for 10 minutes at a temperature of about 40°C. It is recommended to dry after wet compresses and sitting in the bath. If the weather is cold, you can use a hair dryer to blow dry.
Ointment applied to the anus, compound polymyxin ointment and ten golden ointment can be used interchangeably, the former is anti-inflammatory and pain-relieving, the latter reduces swelling and stops bleeding. If there are suppositories (indomethacin suppository for anti-inflammatory and pain relief, Sanyanning suppository for hemostasis and anti-inflammatory), they can be taken into the anus after the ointment is applied. Note that the tip is facing forward and is taken along the anus towards the belly button. When putting the suppository, ask the patient to exhale and relax the anus. Remember not to poke forcefully to prevent bleeding from the wound.
At noon every day, it is recommended to use about 20ml of Kangfuxin liquid to wet the wound for 5-10 minutes, and then apply Sufukang gel to the anus to promote wound healing.
Compound lidocaine ointment is a local anesthetic, such as before and after the bowel movement or before changing dressings, generally can play a local anesthesia and pain relief 10 minutes after application.
Paracetamol and oxycodone tablets are moderate-strength analgesics. One tablet a day is recommended for the first three days after discharge. If the pain is obvious, one tablet can be taken orally every 8 hours or continuously for 7-10 days.
You can exercise properly after the operation, but it is not recommended to ride or drive for a long time, nor to sit or stand for a long time. If you want to resume physical exercise, at least 20 days after the operation.
You can take a bath after the operation, but you can only take a shower, not a bath. The water temperature should not be too hot, and the bath time should not be too long. It is easy to catch a cold after the operation. Please be careful not to dry it. Do not wash the anus with any toiletries when bathing, change the dressing as required after bathing.
After discharge, medical insurance patients will settle accounts within 3 working days. Self-paid patients can settle accounts the next day. Please bring the hospitalization deposit slip to the discharge office on the first floor of the outpatient department.
You can go to the medical record room to copy the case 7 working days after you are discharged from the hospital. (All can be copied)
